  2. I think it depends on what you are trying to accomplish that round or what type of golfer you want to become. If I'm a weekend golfer out to swing for the fences and have a great time with guys, lay up isn't in my vocab. But if I'm trying to build a good handicap or prepare myself for tourny playing a mix of both is a must. I'm a firm believer in gut feeling, if you think your gonna hit it short and in the hazard don't let a Tiger wanna be talk you into a snow man. Just be you and do what you know you can do. If it doesn't work out you'll live and learn for the next situation . That is the great thing about this game, no one is there to tell you what to do (just suggest) and if something goes wrong it's your fault.
  3. Lol 2.5 I wish I must have been drinkin when I entered that. I'm more like a 6 or 7. Funny I must have thought I was better than that until I play'd my first round of the year. You know how us guys are my 20 inch fish in my avatar is really a 14 lol!!
  4. If I were Tiger I wouldn't be worrying about Phil as much as I would Gmac. You know he still has a sour taste in his mouth from the Chevron. I actually am picking Gmac to atleast place top 10 an maybe even win the event. He had a great closing round last week.
  5. Great advise fellas. I agree I just need to be more patient ( not my greatest quality) but man its tough. I'll be honest when I was out playing last weekend I found myself switch back to the old grip after another missed GIR on the sixth hole par 3. I think I'm going to hit the range with video cam an pod to check both swings. Got to be the club head position at impact is just to far open. Thanks for the help guys I'll let you know my findings this weekend. Here in Utah we just got pounded with another foot of snow but today is 60 and I'm hoping the melt will go fast.
  6. I have just recently switched my grip from baseball style to overlap. Felt really good at first but I seem to be fading/slicing the ball now, which is really weird considering I normally draw the ball. Is this just early spring funk or is it the new adjustment in my grip. Please help. BTW I;m a righty.
  7. I can't wait. Even more of a reason to not watch American Idol with my wife tomorrow night..lol
  8. I am currently a Napa Auto Parts store manager in Utah and also help run a family owned fishing lure company called Curlys Lures, but am just a few months away from moving to Temecula, Ca to attend Professional Golfers Career College. Should be a fun adventure.
  9. Thanks for the responses. I'll give it a go and see what happens. If anything it should help my game a ton.
  10. Very Cool. I like Breeds energy and teaching skills. I really like to listen to all teachers and take what I can from each. I really don't have one favorite.
  11. Pro Golf Career Collage in Temecula, CA.
  12. Hi all first time poster. I'm 26 years old married with 3 kids. Just recently decided to dive into the School side of golf and have no clue what to expect. Anyone on here attended a Golf Career school and if so did it pay off for you? I'm really excited and nervous but know it will be a good a experience. Any input would be great I start this August.
