  1. Try this http://joby.com/gorillapod Another poster said they rig their phone with rubber bands and pegs.
  2. @jerry - do you work for the company that developed iswing? This is my 5th post about iphone swing apps and you've posted the above info on every one. just curious.
  3. I bought the R9s. They are being shipped as we type. I think I mentioned that the cheaper price broke the tie (just had kids last year so convincing the wife that it was time for an equipment upgrade was hard enough!)
  4. Possibly something rubber to keep sound bouncing and also stop stray balls from putting holes int he wall? I'm sure a quick call to an interior designer will get you an answer.
  5. @Mike - I just pulled the trigger on a new set yesterday and went through the same sort of research you are doing. How about A vs B vs C? In the end, it comes down to what feels best for you. You can search the internet til you're fingers fall off and find both wonderful and terrible reviews alike for pretty much every set. I unfortunately don't live in an area where I can hit multiple sets outside on the range, and am limited to the GG and Dick's simulators. So what I did first was read reviews on several sets to see if there were attributes to each that would match my game. I looked at comments on general feel, appearance at address, offset, weight, shafts, etc. Then I went to the shops and hit everything a few times. For me it worked out that there were 3 that were tied for the lead. I was able to get one set on sale and truthfully that broke the tie. So if you want an actual list, here is what I hit (I'm a 10-12 handicap), listed in the order that I liked them: Taylormade R9, Callaway Razr X Tour, Mizuno JPX 800 Pro, Titleist AP1, Burner 2.0, Ping i15. I'm with you, I just mainly want to hit straight with a hint of draw or fade when needed. As a 12 consistency is more important to me, and I personally found in these test sessions that the R9s had the narrowest left-right shot dispersion and distance control. I thought the offset was manageable, and the top line not too clunky. Again, that's me. Decide what's most important to you - distance, left-to-right control, feel, looks - and pick the set that ranks highest in those categories.
  6. TM is marketing the $@#! out of Camillo also. I'm sure the Cobra guys are thrilled about that.
  7. Have you looked at the Mizuno JPX 800 Pro or Callaway Razr X Tours? Sorry if this was already vetted, but I'm skimming and don't want to go thru 6 pages of posts.....
  8. I'm in the same boat as you, playing 8yo Cobra's and looking to get some new technology. My personal plan is to focus on clubs where I have a narrow short dispersion (left-right) and give me the carry/roll characteristics that fit my style. If $ isn't an object then go with the ones that match your game and feel the best. If it is, let $ break the tie between the two.
  9. Don't forget to add in some stretching to maintain flexibility. I started doing yoga this winter, plus made sure after every workout I had a good 5-15 minutes of stretching. I also do a lot of rotational core work. In my neck of the woods we finally starting having some days over 50 and sunny. I've been to the range a couple of times and I have to say that I'm well ahead of where I typically am at this time.
