good work "Shorty" you looked up our website and found the owner's name, great research. Yes, I do have access to pre release information, but actual consumer knowledge is worth ten times more than the Titleist company line. Of course they will tell their people they sell the best of the best and you should buy nothing else. Yes, I do play Nike Irons, always have, probably always will. That MUST mean that there is no way I would represent, sell, and promote Titleist equipment right? It's lovely how all of you are on such a high horse and that some one like "Shorty" can respond with such a "better than you" attitude to people and the rest fall in line because he is one of your "forum leaders". No Shorty Titleist does not just throw equipment at any rep that asks for it, just like you won't find any Ping Shops around. Five, Six years ago maybe but things in the industry have changed...I didn't expect you to know this with your current position as a WalMart greeter but I also didn't expect this to go so far. Don't ban me, I'll gladly leave, don't need to be associated with someone as cocky and brash as this "Shorty" guy. Oh and Gerald, you're not the Dos Equis Man so stop trying to look like him Enjoy

Honest opinion? yes you are a bit "assertive" Sure I'll let you know where, Fairways Of Woodside Golf Course, Sussex, WI - Assistant Pro/Golf Shop Manager, I charge a very reasonable $35/hr in case your interested in some lessons, I bet you could use em. If not, come on by, we got a money game every Tuesday I'll gladly take whatever you got. I'll repeat, as I do have Titleist connects I don't want to waste my resources on something that won't produce any better than what the 906 series already does. Your latest response is exactly why I reacted the way I did initially, what makes you so great buddy? Love how you have to list an Index, teaching pros aren't allowed to carry one in this state. Sorry for reaching out to a community of players to seek an opinion on equipment, for some reason I thought that was the purpose of this forum, if I made another mistake feel free to correct me, I'm sure you will

ya that pocket is really hidden? haven't actually had the clubs in my hand, only checked them out on Nike's site. I just read your review on them and that was the first time I even noticed the pocket! Guess I need to get out more, I work in golf so don't go to national chain stores to over pay for merchandise...downfall is that I can't actually see, feel, touch as much product as I would like

perhaps i did over react so I'll appologize, yes I did just join today, but have been reading the forum for quite some time now. Didn't say I think adjustable clubs correct swing flaws, as a Titleist rep and teacher I understand the purpose of the SureFit technology...my statement should have read that in the past I did not like the change in technology to adjustable clubs because I felt most consumers would opt for equipment to fix their swings rather than actually fixing their swings...sorry for the confusion. So, nonsense aside and back on topic, I have some serious Titleist hookups but don't want to be wasting the resources I have if the 906 series will perform similar to the new 910 series. Hopefully someone in this forum has experience playing both products and can shed some light for me. Again, sorry for the small rant, just felt my thread was being ripped on for pressing the number 7 instead of 6, I will do a better job of proofreading posts in the future D

great review thanx a ton. Sounds like everything i was hoping to hear. They look AMAZING, Nike website only offers a few pics and none of the face, like you i was curious about all the extra grooves but they actually look good to me. Now to find me a Nike hookup....do i ever hate retail prices...maybe I'll switch the shop over to Nike exclusive next year so I can get a deal...hehehehehehe

WOW DICK, sorry for the mistake, I'm sure you've never made one in your entire life. Yes I meant 906 and in case you didn't read the entire thread, I know it was really long and you're used to only reading picture books, I understand the purpose behind the 910.... Now if anyone has some actual feedback on the equipment and doesn't wanna be an asshole like this guy I would really appreciate it

did all of you guys use the same process as listed by the OP? acetone and all that stuff? This would be super fun for me but would only want it on the clubs i game...and don't wanna mess up my gamers

I'm on my third set of the original Nike Pro Combo's and for years have been wondering why other companies don't offer these sets. I will never go back to a standard set, someday I will have to upgrade to the "new" (they're the same as mine just a new paint scheme) Pro Combo's simply because brand new sets of the older ones are becoming harder and harder to find

Talk me out of an R11, please!
SwingHardGoFar replied to Huffy2k's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
R11 is such a joke. All it is is an R9 with white paint. Before I upgraded my Ping G2 to a G15, (which has been replaced by a 910D3) I actually hit my five year old G2 Longer, Higher, and straighter than the R11....gee maybe that's why some pros still use the G2 in practice rounds? hehe I love that club, always will -
I'm currently on my third set of old school Nike Pro Combo's. The make up of the set and the way the cavities work from full to mid to blade throughout the set is just fantastic. I still haven't been able to wrap my head around why other companies don't offer sets like this. After many years away from the set Nike has decided to bring them back. They look great but I don't have any Nike hook up's and would be forced to pay the $1000 retail price...I hate retail. Has anyone put these beuties in play yet? My current set of grooves are showing some serious wear in the scoring clubs, obviously the 3 and 4 irons look pretty new still. This will most likely be the last season they are in play and it is getting harder and harder to find brand new sets of clubs that haven't been made for five or six years now. Thanks in advance D

I'm still rocking out 907 Fairways and Hybrid but have moved from Ping Drivers to a new 910D. Anyone out there already hitting the new 910 fairway models? I have always been skeptical about adjustable equipment (if you need to adjust the club just adjust your swing) but the 910 is an amazing piece of equipment so that idea is long gone for me. Thanks in advance D

Need Help Picking Drivers to Pick From
SwingHardGoFar replied to bamadoc's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
G15 is legit. I played the G2 for years and years and just couldn't find anything to beat it, until the G15 was released. Have recently switched to a 910 D3 simply for the adjustability, but the G15 is only a bad driving round away from the bag! Good work on the fitting, people who buy stock sticks off the shelf make me want to puke. -
How can a pro shop be cheaper on everything?
SwingHardGoFar replied to Wet Doggg's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Someone mentioned mark up and they were dead nuts, right on, perfect. I'm the Assistant Pro/Golf Shop Manager at a course here in WI. All of the major companies offer "exclusive" contracts to golf shops. Because it's my choice and I have excellent taste, our course is Titleist exclusive for balls and equipment, Adidas exclusive for all apparel. Here are some of my prices on Titleist models and I'll let you compare them for yourself. Stock Cameron Putters - $105, (limited editions carry higher prices) 910 Drivers - $120 AP2 710 3-PW - $450 Vokey Wedges - $45 Dozen ProV1 Personalized - $23.50 These are my wholesale prices, on top of this I can also order a certain amount of goods at what Titleist calls "PUD" or Personal Use Discount. PUD pricing is 20 percent less than wholesale. As good as all that sounds, once a year Titleist will also grant me 30% of my golf ball sales in free merchandise. This year I picked up two 910's, replaced my wedges, and got 10 Dozen balls...didn't cost me a dime, not even shipping. Now we all know there is no way that Titleist will sell me something for less than what it cost them to make, market, and distribute so you can see how they make their money. Clothing is even more outrageous, the shirts that you see at Golf Galaxy and other chains for 50, 60 bucks can be ordered from my Adidas rep for as little as 10 to 15! The amount of mark up companies have been able to put on their product has gotten out of hand over the last five years or so, and doesn't seem to be stopping as the general golfer has no problems paying 4, 5, or 6 hundred dollars for the latest and greatest driver. What I'm trying to say is....DON'T BUY YOUR GOODS FROM GOLF STORES!!! Support your local golf shops and golf courses. They will most likely always have someone more informed on products because they actually use them. They SHOULD have better prices for you as well. I get upset with any of my members for shopping anywhere but my golf shop, all they did was waste money. Also, the big chain stores buy all of their stuff in bulk, every product I get comes custom ordered direct from the manufacturer...quality over quantity my friends!
