I like 3 irons and 7 woods, no hybrids though. I use the 7 wood if I am 240 out in a tough lie. The loft seems to help with bad lies.

First thing I would do is slow down my swing. If you are normally swinging at a certain swing I would go slower. Until I corrected the problem.

How many putts do you usually have in an 18 hole round?

I'd say low 30's high 20's, depending on how well I chip. I putt from the fringe a lot, but hey that doesn't count as a putt.
