  1. I am just up the road in Wilmington, but with my golf package company I am in MB all the time and I have been lucky enough to play everything except the new Founders at PI and the private courses ( I have played Surf Club). The Passport and Senior Cards are great for locals when they can work the 48 hour rule. I was thinking of the "package" round rates which have gone up anyway despite the economy. It was a little quieter this year and maybe they will rethink for 2010 or adjust for the Fall.!! By the way- while they have murdered the Wild Wing golf complex Avocet is a very nice course and has been in good shape all Spring so far!
  2. Des Nuttz, There are no nice courses for under $30 anymore ( except perhaps in January).
  3. I've been dabbling since 1972, but got really serious till about 20 years ago. Shot a 79 for my carreer low, but I can't get my HC down below 14. Currently 15. Oh well, its a great game. Maudite Golf
  4. Chi Chi, I just voted for Myrtle Beach, but I have a pretty slanted view. I live here and own a independant golf package company that sets up great MB golf packages. I'm not sure what's allowed on here and don't want to be thought of as a spammer, but I love setting these things up. I met my wife on my MB golf trip of 1992 ( I'm from Canada) so if MB is your final choice-----BE CAREFUL!!! Maudite
  5. I shot a 91 this morning on our little muni. Actually we are lucky since our muni is a Donald Ross design and a real challenge. There are only two or three greens that are bigger than most living rooms. Anyway- beat the other three so life is good for now... Maudite
  6. I'm a little partial to the Myrtle Beach area, of course, but my all time fav is River's Edge. Check out www.river18.com to see why. This is Arnold Palmer's newest course in Myrtle Beach. The #9 Par 5 is the most discussed hole of any in Myrtle. J.T.
