  1. Topper you completely missed the point of the thread. It's obvious that getting out and playing will improve your game. From an "EQUIPMENT" stand point, what is the best way to improve your game? Getting out and playing is not what I'm looking for. That's a no brainer. I totally agree about fitting clubs.
  2. Wanted to see what the popular opinion was on the best way to improve your game (from an equipment standpoint). Obviously getting out and practicing is the best way, but I want to see what you guys think it is from an equipment point of view. Please explain your pick. Thanks!
  3. Please post what you think about them. I am going to be getting some here pretty soon and want all the feedback I can get on them. I will be playing a week from today, that's as soon as I can get out. I will have a box of new balls before I go.
  4. Great post iacas! The physics behind the theory really explained what you were saying to me. I'll keep this in mind the next time I go out.
  5. I really don't find myself trying fill a gap between my wood and high irons, but I have recently found that having a selection of wedges is helping my score a whole lot more than hitting it a long way. I have spent a lot of time working on my wedges and have noticed a complete 180 on my score.
  6. I am looking to invest in a new set of irons before long. I am looking at the Adams Ideas A7 or the Cleveland TA7 set. Any feedback on either one, or one over the other?
  7. Yea I have really been unhappy with the other balls. I had no idea that they were really that much harder. But I have been listening to some podcasts on Edwin Watts Golf Talk and they can't stop talking about Srixon. Even when they have other companies on the air, it seems to be mentioned somewhere in the conversation.
  8. Thanks for the help! I didn't really know what to look at when looking at the course info. now I do. I got it figured up.
  9. I really need some help figuring out my handicap. I'm sure it's pretty high, but all the online handicap calculators want to know what my round score was on a USGA certified course and the course rating. The local courses that I play at do not have these (that I am aware of anyway). Is there a way I can at least get close to figuring something out?
  10. Thanks for all the feedback! I don't think that I am ready for the 3-piece balls yet. I do not feel I have quite enough club control for them. I was leaning more towards the AD333 or Soft Feel. Right now I am using Callaway Warbirds. They are ok. I picked up a cheap set of Fuzz balls at Academy and thought that they hit better than the Callaway. Now I know that they are not their top of the line ball, but I still expected for it to be better than the Fuzz. I guess that is a big reason that I am thinking of trying to switch it up and go with Srixon. I really do appreciate all advice/comments, welcome them actually (no matter how brutally honest). So please feel free to be brutally honest. Thanks guys/gals!
  11. Great tip GolferNC! I have noticed that I am doing this some as well. I'll give it a try next time I get on the course.
  12. I am from Louisiana and am starting to play golf seriously now, not just to kill time on the range. Hopefully I can learn something from you guys!
  13. I'm kinda new to golf and want to know what you guys thought about their balls? I am debating on trying them.
