  1. squares arent for distance, they are for forgivness. you dont see tiger hitting the new sumo2, he hits last years sasquatch. the squares arent as workable i think thats why you dont see them much on tour.
  2. i can get a used scotty laguna two pro platinum (like this one http://www.scottycameron.co.uk/produ...ils.asp?id=187 ) for only $75. it doesnt have the headcover or pivot tool, putter only. it has a pretty new red scotty grip on it. this seems like a good deal to me, should i go ahead and buy it. i think even if i dont like using it, it could be a good investment if i found a headcover and pivot tool and resold it. i have it right now but i havent paid for it yet, i can go play it first before i make up my mind. if you were in my position, would you just go ahead and buy it?
  3. like i said mine have champ qlock cleats, the dont screw in and out. you push and 1/4 turn and they unlock and come out. im gonna go to my only local golf store today, ill see if they stock them there so i dont have to order them online.
  4. i just got my first pair of golf shoes and was curious to know how long the cleats last. my shoes are nike and they have champ qlock cleats in them. the proshop and wal mart only carry soft spikes so i didnt know if i need to keep a new set on hand, i may have to order them online. your thoughts please.
  5. im really surprised to see mizuno in the lead in this pole. i had no idea they were that popular. i thought calloway or ping would be in the lead by a lot of votes. on a side note i have cleveland launcher lp irons i got from tgw.com at a heck of a bargain. im getting use to them now after playing about 3 or 4 rounds with them. im liking them more and more every time i play them. my ball striking is improving and i like the flight pattern much better than my old nomad irons. they have a really nice look while im sitting over them and they are very forgiving, my mishits still go a long way though off target. cant beat these for the extremely low price tag.
  6. [QUOTE=sandtrap;55612] thats 2 rules
  7. im pretty good at figuring it out on my own. i just dont have much experience from the sand is why i was asking about it. i dont want to pay a pro for what i can teach myself in practice. i took about 4 years off from playing and just getting started back this year so im shaking the rust off. im improving something everytime i play but last week i got in the sand and it took me 3 trys to get out. i usually dont swing hard enough cause im affraid im gonna blade it across the green. thanks for the tips guys, when i get time im gonna get in the beach and see if i can stick it near the pin.
  8. i think they make it in neutral as well.
  9. i like mine a lot better than the G5. my friend has one with the same flex and loft as my sumo2 and mine is much easier to hit. you may want to demo one, it wouldnt be hard to get rid of your G5 if you decided to.
  10. im a high handicapper and i have never had a lesson in my life and never will. please give me the basics of getting out of sand.
  11. i had a chip in last night. thats my first chip in all year!
  12. i want to shoot an 89 or less. i have got a 93 and a 92 this year, they are my lowest scores so far. pay my credit card company the money i owe them for financing my nike sumo2 driver, cleveland launcher LP irons, and my season green fee pass. put an end to the 7s and 8s that destroy a good round for me. play with more of my friends instead of the same ones all the time. figuring out a way to hit out of the sand.
  13. if i couldnt hit them first i would go for the cleveland hibore. its $150(even cheaper used) all over the place online but if you read the reviews you will notice it gets the ball in the air quickly so if you hit a high trajectory already, consider getting a lower loft. thats what i would do if i was in your position.
  14. i recently got one. i upgraded from a 7 year old wal-mart driver so its a HUGE difference. i love it. it gives me a ton of confidence knowing i can hit it straighter and longer than any other driver i have ever laid eyes on. i use to get about 225-235 out of my long drives now i get 275ish with my sumo2. its a lot for forgiving and easier to hit straight for me. i know a lot of people wouldnt like it but i love mine and only paid $200 for it brand new.
