  1. I've been Playing Golf for: 20 years with a break 5 years. Playing again 2,5 years My current handicap index or average score is: 5.8 My typical ball flight is: draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: snap hook / block push Videos:
  2. Game is finally coming together. Shot level par 70 today. Had 2 3 putts but also 2 insane up and downs. I've done this before but never in a strokeplay tournament. Result my hdc went down from a 7.9 to 5.8. After my iron change (play mizuno pro 223,s now) i was breeding on a low round never thought it would be a 70 tho. And i was so close to a 69 just horse shoed my birdie putt on 18.
  3. My dreambag completed again.... Just got these irons. My bag is now. Callaway Rogue ST Max LS Callaway Rogue ST Max 3wood Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron Mizuno pro 225 4 and 5 iron Mizuno Pro 223 6 / gw Vokey SM9 black 55 and 60 degrees M grind 08 bounce Ping Anser 2D putter

  6. Not my best round i played, but scrambled really well, at the 186 yard par 3 6th i duffed my teeshot ball ended up 72 yards in thick grass, pin was on the left front of the green guarded by a deep bunker. Took my lobwedge and opened up the face slightly and than made a 3/4 swing on it, ball came out great landed 3 feet in front of the flag hit it after that and ended just inches away from the cup.
  7. Mizuno pro flihi 3 iron and a box pro v1x
  8. I am starting to understand the game and my better and better. Because of my divorce and kids I have less time to practice but I am practicing better. Also I understand now that blades and I are not the best match, sure the feel of them are great, but I am penalizing myself using them, I struggle to find the sweet spot all the time and therefore last year I started playing more forgiving clubs still forged but more forgiving. My latest change just recently was the switch from a 3 iron to the Callaway Apex UW (21 deg loft ) Also I am starting to feel more and more that I play the game for fun, and sure I want to play well and to the best of my abilities but I don't that angry with myself that I can blow up a few holes. I picked up the game last year after 3 years off. In my best days I was a hdc 7. I started again at 12, finished last year on 9,8 and my current is 8,1.
  9. Yeah they have a give away of some loadmouth pants, so prob sponsored a little
  10. So here in the Netherlands we have the NGF ( netherlands golf federation ) the post on youtube and have the app golf.nl. On youtube they go round the country and play golfcourses and give feedback on them. Last post was my homecourse. Look at it here.
  11. So after yesterdays round again an 80. With even worse golf on some holes i had 4 double bogeys. Basically 3 off them came from unplayable lies after a not great tee shot. Had to take a drop on all 3 off them. Other one was a bad swing (shank) that went ob. Due to the new hdc system tho i still lowered my hdc from 8.4 to 8.1. I get 10 shots on my current hdc so i played a netto 70
  12. So i am a few months in now, i am progressing slowly on my set goal 6.5hdc. I had 10 q cards so far in our mens competition. Currently still struggling to get a decent round together, i get the 2 blowup holes every round, where i leave 3-4 shots out there, making doubles or triple’s on those holes. Bringing scores in high 70 low 80. Hdc dropped from 9.2 to 8.4 this far. Played a practice round on monday it was a 78 with a double on 10 after a snap hook lost ball off the tee. Was a bit unlucky at times as well, the worst luck i had was on our last hole a par 3 191 yards into a light breeze wind, where i hit a perfect 5 iron it hit the flag hard and bounced off the green to the left in a horrible place making a bogey there. I didn’t expect the hole in one but i am sure i would have had a birdie putt or at least a par
  13. I don't think the club heads are the problem, the shafts I should worry about. But well I wasn't playing 30 years ago. Started playing with a Spalding beginner set for 3 years than got Mizuno blades and used to have a 1 and 2 iron in stead of driver and 3 wood. So much have changed over the 20 years I have been playing. I never left the Mizuno irons, working on my 5th set I think but I kinda got away from the real blades, and game the JPX 921 Forged now, and 4 iron is the longest iron in the bag. Basically because I am not playing or practicing that often, and my bad strikes have much better results. Basically I recommend you look in that iron category, you can get good deals on a couple year old sets. My Irons are still forged so do have the soft feel and workability like a true blade, but gives the help when your just of center, I tend to get a little thin or from the toe, the drop-off is just less on those shots
