  1. Let me understand this: He finished the hole, walked to the the next tee, then came back on the green he had just played and ignored your group yelling "fore"? He deserved getting hit.
  2. Follow through or back swing?
  3. And then there are those mark a few dozen, throw 'em in the bag and be ready for a round. Or so I've heard.
  4. Black sharpie. Black face on driver. No problem.
  5. Had a Goliath driver and cracked it across the face. Have had 3 GigaGolf drivers and haven't cracked any of them.
  6. punctuation ( countable and uncountable ; plural punctuations ) A set of symbols and marks which are used to clarify meaning in text by separating strings of words into clauses , phrases and sentences . Source: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/punctuation
  7. Many funny stories, this one not so much: Injured by a golf shot, caddie dies at AIIMS. Source: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/Injured-by-a-golf-shot-caddie-dies-at-AIIMS/articleshow/13366409.cms
  8. That reminds me of a woman who used to work for us. If you ever shared a cab with her or there was some other incidental expense, it was always "can you pay for that, all I have is hundreds". She pulled that crap with everybody, and probably never realized: a) we all shared stories about her; and b) how much respect she lost from those she worked with.
  9. GigaGolf has a Web page ( http://www.gigagolf.com/no_pro.jsp ) that deals with this very issue - probably worth spending a few minutes reading. FWIW, I have a Callaway Diablo Octane driver (9.5 deg., Project X, stiff), Nike Sumo2 5900 (10.5 deg., UST Proforce V2 Tour Flight, regular) and a GigaGolf GXz driver (9 deg., Grafalloy ProLaunch Red, regular), and the GG driver plays as well (perhaps better) than the others, and the one I currently play.
  10. If you like a driver but the shaft is too long, it's very easy to cut down the shaft. I blow off the original grip with compressed air (sometimes takes up to 100 PSI, don't forget to put a piece of pipe or tubing over the grip to prevent "blowouts"), wrap masking tape around the butt end (easier to mark and helps contain the graphite fibres), and make the cut with an abrasive wheel (I have a 7" chop saw just for shafts). You can then re-grip with something else, or put the original grip back. Most people use gripping tape and solvent, but I prefer 2" masking tape and compressed air - allowing me to use the club immediately and making it easier to remove it in future should I need to do so.
  11. I was golfing with my brother and he hit a low screamer that travelled about 150 yards, then it just dropped. When we got out to where his ball was there was a gopher stretched out and flat on its back, dead. My brother was most upset because it was looking like his best drive of the day until it ran into that stupid gopher!
  12. I don't think height should necessarily be a disadvantage. Michael Jordan is, to the best of my recollection, 6'6", and he carried a 1.4 handicap in 2009. http://www.golfdigest.com/magazine/2009-01/usopencontest_bestrom
  13. You can download your own images (e.g. Alabama flag, your favourite photo, etc.) and create custom skins. Check it out at http://bigwigzskins.com/bigwigz/index.php?option=com_content&view;=article&id;=55&Itemid;=71
  14. At 2-3 grams it will probably add 1-2 swingweights (e.g. D0 => D1 or D2). Any idea how it will affect the sound at impact? I'm thinking the sound will be deadened or muted somewhat - what do you think?
  15. Once, I was in a hurry and used quick setting ("5 minute") epoxy, the kind that comes in a dual syringe. I build two wedges and, while one of them has held up well, the head on the other started working loose after about 8 rounds. I tore it apart, cleaned it up and have never used anything but golf epoxy since. YMMV
