  1. Thank you. Will aim the clubface a little right. When I did the odd one left during my lessons, the guy teaching me said it was because i was still coming over the top, even though it was drawing. He did manage to fix my slice for me though, so I shouldn't be too critical. Just happy that I have it sorted in my own mind now as to why this is happening.
  2. I have recently taken some lessons to fix a major problem with coming over the top and hitting big slices or fades. The problem with my swing path is now pretty much sorted and I have gone from hitting the above mentioned slice to hitting a draw. My ball contact has improved dramatically, In general Im very happy with my swing at the moment, just one problem. I am now missing a lot of greens left. Ball is starting online and drawing left often( not always, my good shots start right and draw in perfectly) . Now from reading on here about ball flight laws, its because my clubface is too square at impact. How do I get my clubface slightly open? Do I open it at address?
  3. Get down to a single figure handicap. To do this I will have to improve my short game significantly, particularly putting. Currently averaging over 2 puts per hole. Will also have to hit more GIR. So lots of work to be done all round but looking forward to improving.
  4. I also broke 80 for the first time last week, with a 79 on my home course which is a very easy par 70, 5750yds. The course rating rating is 67, we don't have slope ratings here. So am I happy with breaking 80, yes very. Two months ago I was shooting high 80's low 90's on the same course. Conditions haven't changed, my game has improved. Will I break 80 next week when I play a par 71, 6800yds course with loads of water, probably not but I am hoping to be in the mid to low 80's. So the moral of the story I guess is to just keep improving on your own game, keep improving on your scores which means you have to keep breaking 80...
  5. Available anywhere in SA yet?
  6. Hi all. I'm from South Africa. I'm 39 and have been playing for many years on and off. I decided a few months back to start playing again after about a 3 year break and now I suddenly cant get enough of golf. I have been lurking here for a bit and have really enjoyed reading everything that everyone has to say.
  7. I never walk through the ladies tee.
