  1. do all places have the interchangeable shaft system? i was at golfgalaxy and they didnt have it...
  2. golf seasons right around the corner and its time to get a new driver... i have a taylormade r7 425 10.5 REAX stiff.. i hit the ball way to high with his club because of the loft of the head along with the weakness of the shaft. my swingspeed is right around 105 MPH. im looking to buy a titleist d2 with a 9.5 loft as i like the way the ball feels when hit with it.. what would be your suggestion for a shaft? im thinking i need a shaft with a high kickpoint and a stiff tip. anything? thanks alot in advance!
  3. that is definately tru the price is extremely reasonable for a new set of clubs for them but i am certian you can find a used set of clubs on this site from a better company that surpass those tremendously for around the same price if not less...
  4. are u biased towards nickents for some reason and want to spend extra money by buying them new? i personally wouldnt even consider them but thats me
  5. hey man i started golf around the same time as you and have experienced much of what you are currently going through. a 49 for 9 holes will most likely land you a spot on ur JV golf team in HS depending on the strength of the program. even though some people disagree, clubs do make a difference. its not worth fitting for clubs right now because your body is changing literally by the day. i started with taylormade rac os2s and they helped my came tremendously. the first day i got them i shot a 101.. they helped bring my score down to the 70s over the course of a few years however (with some lessons of course). if u want i could sell these to you for cheap with anything else you would need (driver, bag, and whatnot). i have an r7 but it may be a little to stiff for you though. let me know if your interested...good luck!
  6. im 16 and i caddy at a local country club.. our pay is all tips... minimum is around $50 but its common to get around $80 per bag ($160 altogether carrying two bags).. after looking through this threar i guess i am pretty fortunate for making over $45 an hour at my course considering rounds are in the low 3 hour range
  7. started off with a 42 on the front yesterday but ended the back 1 over with a 37 at arcola country club
  8. burner tp.. personally, i like the look of a driver with a long, shallow face just like the burner tp..the superquad and the r7 i have (and am getting rid of) has a short deep face..
  9. the callaway x-forged jumped off the face with a nice feel but they had a lot of bottom weighting which caused me to baloon them... the rac mb's were a great feeling club to me; definately on par with the mp-60's i got... and finally titleist, i couldnt stand them im sorry. (although i like their woods) they were very hard and didnt feel as sweet as the mizunos. nothing feels better to me then a purely hit mizuno it was basically between the mb;s and the mizunos in the end, but since i have used mizuno's custom department before and they deliver consistently i went with them. as i get better (i already have with these clubs), im going to look into the mp-67 or the mb's again down the road. but for now, i cant get enough of these clubs..
  10. i got the chrome mp r series wedges... the sole grind on them is great it makes the club much more versatile then the T series. also, the chrome adds a bit of weight to the club but the black nickel adds some more spin so its up to u!
  11. hey guys i thought id update... i just received my clubs from the mizuno custom club department. i went with the mp-60's in 4-PW... hit them at the range today and they are sweet! thanks for all the oppinions... now its time for woods!
  12. im looking into upgrading my current r7 425 to either a burner tp or a superquad tp. i like the way the burner hits the ball and like that it doesnt have the MWT which i was thrilled with on my current driver. i tried the burner tp with the rombax shaft from the superquad tp and loved the way it performed. is the fujikura rombax shaft better than the graphite design shaft the burner tp comes stock with? any opinions?
  13. i wouldnt buy a non tp taylormade driver again..the closed face is rediculous.. either TP or titleist for me from now on
  14. get a shaft thats not as stiff with a little higher torque, and a bit softer tip. that should do the trick
