  2. Nice!! That's not too far away.....Maybe we can find some time to go play a few holes.
  3. Overall, this was a very good book. It helps a lot with novice level players, giving them visual and verbal references to how the swing should look and feel. As far as Hogan's swing, he had different issues before and after his car accident.
  4. Personally, I was never partial to one ball over another, but the Bridgestone Treosoft is a great ball for a good price. Also, I know Top Flite has a bad name is golf balls, but the gamer V2 is an AWESOME ball. They are 19.99 and you can get them anywhere. Also, if you are looking to try a premium ball, like a ProV1 or something similar, go to lostgolfballs.com and order some used ones. The AAAAA dozens are still in your price range and are pretty much new.
  5. Anything at Barefoot Resort will be money well spent. There's also the River Club, Any of the Cat Courses, True Blue or Caledonia. Best to go check out the websites first, make sure they are in your price range, as some of them can get pretty pricey.
  6. I have had a ton of good fortune doing nothing more than focusing on keeping my hands in front of the club head through impact. It promotes a sound swing that keeps you from flipping and lets you turn your hands over easily.
  7. Nice! If you're ever down in Crown Point, look me up. We'll go play a round!
  8. thanks for the welcome! Golrish, where are you located? I work out in Crown Point right now.
  9. Hello everyone! I am brand new to the forum, and I am excited about being here!!! Just a little background, I've been playing golf for 20 years. The sport brings so much joy and happiness that I can't wait for that next round, that next shot, the next holed putt. Learned most of what I know through the school of hard-knocks.......Picked up some bad habits when I was young, and struggled with them for years. It wasn't until I went to school that I learned what my problems were, and how I was causing them. I started as a 28-hdcp, and through a lot of practice and hard work, I all but eliminated my bad habits and dropped to an 8-hdcp. I've got a ton more improving to do, but I am happy to say that things are quickly improving!!! Thanks for reading this, and keep em in the short grass!!!!
