  1. As some of you know the Golf Didest Magazine a couple of months ago was touting the Stack and Tilt swing as the wave of the furure. I tried it several times with no success. what I learned is that they did not explain exactly how to do it. Now there are some things that are basic that must be done before it will work. you must try to establish a balanced position in your setup. In other words you must have your center of gravity established between your feet and between your toes and your heels. And you must have your feet spread apart a sufficient amount. With this setup --- you then raise your right shoulder about an inch ---or point your tail bone at your right inside heel. This tillts your spine forward slightly and sets up your tilt. You will usually hit the ball solid --the best ball contact possible. It stops fat shots and thin shots. If your spine is not slanted slightly forward you will have a tendency to hit fat or thin shots in an effort to scoop the ball off the ground. Of course as with any good advice you must incoporate a good shoulder turn. A good shoulder turn is basic for any shot.
  2. I just fixed one guys "over the top swing" a week ago in a foursome I was playing in. This worked great for him ----- When you set up on the ball check your right hand position in relation to your toe line. If your right hand is inside your toe line --or partially inside --- then simply push your hands away from your body about 4 inches and set your right pinky finger on your toe line. This position will flatten your backswing and allow for a totally different swing plane. It should allow you to come into the ball from slightly inside out. If this does not help then I suggest you work on alignment and getting a maximum shoulder turn on your backswing.
  3. Glad you are getting more bars. I talked to a friend yesterday and he is not picking up but 2 bars and has been that way all month (as has mine) and he knows 4 other people who are having the same problem. One is the Pro at his home course. Mine is no better today.
  4. I now have a count of 11 SG2's scattered over the eastern US that cannot receive the SBAS signal ---each one can only receive 2 signal bars.
  5. Sorry about that Green6767 Thanks for your bar numbers
  6. Well you fellows that are claiming to have Skycaddies that are working great ---none of you are telling me how many bars you are picking up. My Skycaddie is working great also ---but is only picking up 2 bars. two bars will give you a great working Skycaddie but you will not be receiving the SBAS signal. Two bars will only give you 7 GPS satellites which is great for hunting and finding sunken ships in the ocean but the accuracy of GPS signals alone is about 10 yards ----not good enough for golf. You must receive the SBAS signals to be able to get your best accuracy with the Skycaddie --no matter which model you have. When you are receiving the SBAS signals you will always have more than 2 bars ---usually 5 or 6 bars will be showing. Check your manual and read aboout SBAS and look at the diagrams that show SBAS signal reception. So just a general comment that your Skycaddie is working grest is no help to me at all. I need to know how many bars you are getting. Thanks guys --your help here would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Yes I have reset it several times. I am not sure what is happening here but 3 SG2's in Pensacola FL, one in Houston Texas and one in missouri do not pick up the SBAS signal and only get 2 GPS bars on the main screen. When you are receiving the correction factor you will pick up 5 to 6 bars. Are you picking up more than 2 bars?
  8. If anyone on this forum uses a Skycaddie I have a question for you. Ever since august 1st my SG2 does not receive the SBAS system signal. I know of 3 SG2's In Pensacola Fl that do not receive the signal anymore and one in Houston Texas. My guess is that the SBAS system has been shut down for repairs or upgrades. I have tried to get the Skygolf company to confirm that there is an issue with the SBAS system but they refuse to give me any feedback on this issue after several emails and 2 phone calls. It would be fairly easy for them to just step outside and turn one of their units on and within minutes they could varify the issue as a problem or not. Any responses will be appreciated Thanks
  9. One day this past week.
