  1. I also am usually a bit skeptical about these things, but the up side to this far out-ways any downside. You know exactly what the lowest value "prize" is its still a pretty good one... def worth the price of the Box. I am going to buy at least two of these and if i get two of the same product, then thats one Christmas present taken care of..... But of course I am hoping for a Nike Driver or Wedge
  2. Nice Thread.... Best shot of the week for me was a 80 yard bunker shot that I put to about 10 feet. Not super flashy but I hit it perfectly and the long bunker shot is such an easy one to screw up.
  3. I think there is a certain amount of "feel" that you have to have for putt. If you try and think about it too academically then you are never going to be a good putter. Try as many thoeries as you like and then commit to one for a decent amount of time and try and let it become natural.
  4. Titleist all the way.... Callaway would be my second choice, the Vokey wedges and the scotty cameron putters are just the best in class. They are a good choice for a beginner also. Just very good clubs.
  5. I actually bought one of these from a different site and it was great...... I am definitely curious about this, so I will probably give into it and buy. Good luck everyone!
  6. Well as a self proclaimed golf-ho you have found the right place..... There are tonnes of great courses in the area and I am sure that you will find many other people willing to hit up the links with you. In fact I live in SoCal my self - Santa Monica - and am always up for a game. No regular time I just try and get our whenever I can.
  7. I grew up in northern England, and now live in Southern California. As you can imagine there are great golf courses in both these areas, both they are extremely different. In the UK I played links golf almost exclusively, I lived on the ocean and very near to Royal Lytham, St Annes - the British Open course. Amazing, tough, inspiring course that is a pleasure to play. Other than it being a links course the thing that separates it from the LA area courses is that i usually got a round in under 4 hours. There is though the big issue of weather. Very few places can match the year round climate of Southern CA, which is perfect for golf. There courses are really good and there is a huge selection. The biggest issue with playing here is the slowness. i have yet to play a round on the weekend here in under 5 hours, they are often over 6!
