I have a gap from 88 yards to 105 that is tough for me to get either of my other wedges to consistently...so i am going to shop for that missing wedge. I currently play a cleveland SW of 56 degrees and my Nike PW, I believe to be 48 degrees. So I will look at 52s. Thanks all.

Wondering what the consensus would be with regard to the venerable "gap" wedge. I have never carried one...tending to step on a sand wedge or throttle back a PW. Am I missing the boat here? Would my life be better(and scores lower?) if I added the extra wedge to the bag?

In this particular scenario I would go 6 iron to the fairway almost everytime. I have a 290 yard Par 4 on my home course and it's 6 iron-PW for me everytime. Sure, I tug the 2nd shot more often than I should...but it's better than hacking out with my second.

78(40-38) Might be the last outdoor round of the year as Minneapolis is getting ready for the season of Tundra. Indoor leagues are forming already.

The AboutGolf simultors(the only ones endorsed by the PGA Tour and the ones used on the GolfChannel) seem to be about as accurate as I have ever witnessed. Like down to a couple yards of accuracy in my case, relative to my GPS. I have played maybe 20 rounds on them this year and they seem to be right on and my "numbers" translate well to the course. Your mileage may vary. I don't know the brand that is being used in Golf Galaxy or other stores...but I can give the AboutGolf ones a thumbs up on accuracy.
