  1. My buddy & me played 63 holes in one day when we were around 16. Back then there wasn't as many people playing, so a lot of times we could play 18 in around two hours. I was always trying to equal what my dad did when he was young. He had played 72 holes in one day without a cart.
  2. I fogot to mention my top 4: Ben Crenshaw Bobby Jones Payne Stewart Phil Mickleson
  3. [QUOTE=jeffgladchun;12835] The Past Nick Faldo Why I like him: Well basically, Faldo is the man. He's funny and happy and just an overall nice guy. He adds a lot to the game and avoids the "hoity-toity", concieted attitude many professionals have and exudes the qualities of a true "golfer's golfer". I agree with you to a point. I think he has loosened up since he quit playing. When he was playing, he always seemed to be in a zone. I remember quite a few tournaments where he he would not make eye contact or communicate with any fans, and that was during practice rounds. But he seems to have really lightened up, which I'm glad he has. He has alot to offer.
  4. My longest drive was 420 yards, which was wind-aided. The fairway was firm, as well. It was kind of neat having a 20 yard chip on a 440 yard par 4. :)
  5. I've been a Titleist man for quite awhile. I just recently purchased a 907 that is hard for me to get use to. Before that I played a 983K for quite some time. It's hard for me to get use to the "Big" head.
  6. I'm kind of behind in the hybrid stage. I just don't play as much as I use to, but I'm intrigued by the club. I'm looking at getting a Titleist 585, either a 17 or 19 degree. What are some thoughts about the Titleist 585 ? I'd like to hear some feedback.
  7. My lowest round is 62 (-8) on a fairly easy golf course. I was 18 at the time, right before I started my college career. I still don't consider it my best round. That would be a 66(-6) at Alvamar Hills, in Lawrence, Kansas. I had two eagles, six birdies, and two three-putt bogies. I don't play nearly as much as I use to, so the under par rounds are pretty rare now. I have more fun now helping my children learn this great game.
  8. I don't believe he is. At the U.S. Open a few years ago, I was asking golfers to autograph pencil drawings that I had sketched. Most everyone would grab the drawing and sign, then hand it to a marshall or sometimes me. Phil was only 1 of 3 golfers who actually noticed that I had sketched the picture of him. He complimented me and talked with me for a few minutes. So I don't think he's fake. By the way, the drawings I did are for my kids someday when I'm gone. play4him
