  1. @Golfingdad , when I do the drill my ball flight changes to a slightly larger draw.
  2. @Golfingdad When doing the drill, slide the foot back, but feel like you are trying to keep your heel on the ground (probably not possible, but I want you to try) I bet you'll never guess it, but............................. straighter right leg ;)
  3. Trying to keep it simple, if it comes to a point where I can't add plates I may add a "few" isolations". @uno6518 when you were power lifting, what would another workout look like?
  4. 5X5 BB Overhead Press (with 2 sets of warm up) 3X5 Deadlifts (with 2 sets of warm up) 3 sets of Farmers
  5. Big typo, meant to type "fewer". Sorry, @Golfingdad knew what I meant :)
  6. Glad to hear you are hitting few hooks! :)
  7. 5x5 BB Squats 5x5 Bench Press 5x5 BB Bent over rows With 2 light warm up sets for each
  8. Typically the parameters I am looking for are, no "early extension" prior to A5. That will change the your inclination to the ground, but in "moderation". Some early extension can show that the player is using the ground properly and a bit more dynamic motion. @mvmac
  9. "Sometimes" people "hump the giraffe" to shallow things out. So you "might" need to lay the club down on the down swing as you work on maintaining your inclination to the ground.
  10. Very cool, count me in! :)
  11. @Golfingdad When practicing, from 6-8 feel your pelvis change to posterior tilt. "hips tucking, glutes squeezing"
  12. Pulling today Deadlifts Pullups BB Rows Cable Rows BB Upright Rows DB Reverse Fly
  13. Glad you are getting a chance to play! To make the swing changes on the course is going to be difficult. Need a lot SLOW practice swings, lots mirror work, and hitting golf balls on the range at a slower speed.
  14. Just to be clear, you are working on left shoulder down, longer, more shoulder tilt in the backswing, not downswing. If I am understanding you correctly, no you will not lift your chin to let your shoulder go under. Simple thoughts, don't lift your head, left shoulder goes down. Relative to other people you play with or watch, does your ball go higher, same, or lower?
  15. Pushing today BB Squats Calf Raise Bench Press Military Press Chest Fly's
  16. Does it have to be 100% straight, no. It can be beneficial to keep that radius more consistent though. The concerning part for me in your post is when you said the word, "lock". It's not that the arm is so tense that it won't bend, that sounds like injury waiting to happen. Also, it sounds to me like you are referring to the back swing, is that correct? If so, just because the club shaft isn't going to parallel or past parallel doesn't mean you aren't getting an adequate back swing to provide sufficient power. Probably needs to be more pressure from the right hand into your left thumb through out the back swing (as demonstrated in the video above). Post a picture or video if you have one.
  17. You may be focusing on the wrong arm (I am assuming you are RH).
  18. I would personally prefer to see both DTL and FO. Things to look for in the DTL view are posted above.
  19. At least you'll have a chair close by to sit down after you get tired ;)
  20. @Golfingdad The video above that Mike posted is GREAT! I just wanted to make a quick video also showing dtl showing glutes/hamstrings squeezing together, belt buckle more toward the target. Try to get to this alignment sooner. Agree with Erik on more knee flex. Now that you have the picture go do some motions in front of a mirror or reflection in a window. Best of luck.
  21. I agree with many of the suggestions above. Here are the links below. I personally subscribe to all of them. :) http://www.youtube.com/user/iacas/ http://www.youtube.com/user/mvmac25/ http://www.youtube.com/user/ddahlquist/ http://www.youtube.com/user/thegolfevolution/ http://www.youtube.com/user/TheScoringAcademy/ http://www.youtube.com/user/WaiteMayoGolf/ http://www.youtube.com/user/jamezjih/
  22. No problem
  23. Kettlebell swings and abs today
  24. Send in a FO video when you get a chance. Best of luck!
  25. The things you need to consider are: The quality of instruction (are you working on the right things) After the lesson how are you going to get feedback? (When practicing are you practicing what you are suppose to? Do you have a camera to check yourself? Maybe a friend? Or maybe you will need to go back to the instructor to check on your progress.) So to answer your question, it could be beneficial with the other pieces in place. I personally don't do 30 minute lessons with my students though.
