  1. or turnovers....
  2. Yeah but the jets always play terrible in the first half and make combacks in the 2nd half that are too close for comfort. (at least thats what they did two years ago, this year....not so many combacks) My roommates are packers fans and are all happy and worry free while watching football. I am pulling my hair out while my team is down and taking stupid penalties
  3. Exactly....and what 10 year old would thrive on public berating
  4. The kid is 10. There is no way that father should be talking to him like that. Period. I am 21 and would not take that from my father. How would a 10 year old feel? Probably pretty shitty every time he tries to hit a shot and its not good enough his dad has something negative to say. Do you see Butch Harmon, or Hank Haney doing this to their students when they dont do what they were taught....im gonna have to go ahead and say no. Sure there are people who can take negative criticism well...but not a 10 year old for **** sakes
  5. This may sound redundant, but why would you have pointless steps if they are pointless? lol. Just change your routine to necessary steps, because that does sound like a lot of stuff to do before every shot. This is a weird post...
  6. You can play with a fade... Jack Nicklaus did, and Tiger does...so if you can control it than that is good
  7. If you get Kinect for xbox, you can actually swing and play instead of using a controller. I saw Gary and Erik on the Morning Drive do this one day. It looked pretty sweet, and decently accurate.
  8. and i think dope is the least harmful thing they have done....
  9. Stix?
  10. That is awesome man. Looks way better than your first video...i love the speed. The first video, DTL, it looks like you come over the op on the way down, i.e swing outside in and this promotes a slice. SO if you sliced it there that is why. Try to flatten your downswing and try to hit from inside to out. If you think of the ball as a clock, and 6 oclock is where you would hit striaght on, you are currently hitting it at 5 oclock and that causes a slice. Try to hit the ball at 7 oclock, close your clubface and you should draw the ball. If you didnt slice it then forget what i said lol, but it defitnly looked like you came over the top and sliced it... Keep it up!
  11. Im listening to him right now on the golf channel
  12. Yeah probably, thats what caddies and players do. I could imagine talking about it more will help you visualize the shot way better and get it more imbedded in your brain before you shoot. Its like teaching somebody somthing to help you remember how to do it. Talking it out helps some times
  13. They are defiently the most frustrating team to watch....and nerve wracking.. i have grey hairs because of them
  14. Yeah, i could only imagaine. I am well aware that it will cause an altercation..but maybe after enough altercations,he may just lighten up a bit...who knows, but why not try and help the kid out. I never said or thought he would agree with me. I guess thats just the way i am, i could never sit and watch that for 18 holes. Maybe i speak out too much, but thats just me, and thats what i would do. I wouldn't expect him to look at me and be like, o wow man, you are so right, my kid doesnt need this kind of shit. No i bet he would say....shut the f*** up. And i would probably say a few more things. But i wouldn't avoid an argument with the guy because it could start a fight when it could possible help the kid out.
  15. When i want to hit the ball higher, i move the ball up in my stance, and opposite for a low shot. If the ball is inline with your front foot then yes, that is too far forward. You want the ball just inside your front foot when you hit a driver. But if you still hit it high, maybe move it back even more....
  16. That sounds about right. hook would be your in to out swing with a closed club face. And your push would be an in to out swing with a club face that is square to your swing plane (pointing right, where your club is going). So, like i said, i would try to hit a cut if i were you. Look up all the things on how to hit a cut and see what works for you....like i said above, outside to in swing path and and open club face...if you do this you will block the left side of the course out. I can see how frustrating those two misses would be....you basically have to aim down the middle and hope to hit it straight because you have opposite misses... If you can block out the left side by hitting a cut, then i would do that. At least you can aim left and slice it...a little better idea of where the ball is going istead of closing your eyes and praying
  17. That is horrible. That ******* is gonna drive his kid right out of the game. The kid is gonna hate the game in 2 years if he already doesn't. I can guarentee i would have said something to the father, even though it would have almost defientely gotten him pissed off, it is defiently worth saying. If you are ever with somebody like this, you need to approach them and let them know what they are doing is ridiclous and needs to stop. I can guarentee 99% of the people who have played with these two have never said a word. But if enough people say something, maybe he will realize after 50 people have told him and could lighten up a bit. I'm sure he thinks he is doing the right thing, and pushing him, but he cleary is a moron. This father had the kids life planned out for him before he was concieved. I would have asked the father to take a shot and see how easy the game is
  18. if your saying his right hand is underneath, as in it is a weak grip, then that will promote a slice if anything. a strong grip with your right hand more over top your left will promote a hook...so i dont think that is the problem
  19. you start off on a good plane, but then on the downswing, you come right over the top and swing from outside to in...i can see where the slice is coming from. If you are trying to hit it straight now, then you cant come over the top on that down swing. Flatten your swing on the downswing and you should get rid of those slices....at least thats where i can see the problem is. It looks like your a scratch golfer and can hit the ball pretty well, so i wouldn't change to much really...just a little plane correction
  20. sorry, didnt realize you said you hooked it... if you want to slice it, try to come over the top. Swing outside to in and have an open clubface. If you try to hold your finish so your wrists are pointing to the sky after impact instead of to the ground, you should move the ball left to right. I would focus on keeping your clubface open at impact to block out the left side
  21. The very first thing i noticed is how short your swing is. You drive it 230-250 which is not bad, but you can get way more distance my making a longer swing. If you dont want to take a longer swing to hit it farther, then take a longer swing so you can get more tempo into your swing and be more controlled. Your buddy sounds like he said you got it to parallel, but you didn't It looks like you swing inside to out, but have a square clubface to where your swinging (pointing right) and that just looked like a big 'ol push. I would say two things, 1. get to parallel, to hit it farther but mostly to get a more controlled swing with more tempo. 2. make sure your club face is pointing left of where your swing and you will draw. Try to feel is if you are closing the clubface at impact, and i bet you will draw the ball Good luck man
  22. Yeah but St. Andrews is a public course and anybody can play. Augusta is private and only open to the members for a couple months of the year. Supply and Demand
  23. I think Augusta National is an exception. If you play Augusta and dont have fun...i dont think you love the game very much....Sure its better if you are on your game. But playing Augusta, with all the history that has gone on there. Not to mention it is dead sexy Id pay 100 to walk it. Considering im a student and have zero money, i would have to take out a loan...but i would if i could actually play there
  24. yeah exactly, they are just there because the caddy doesnt want to walk to his car and throw them in. And they really dont take up any room...
  25. GO JETS....sorry i just saw your logo and had to say that. Die Hard fan
