1. i play vokey sm4's in 52,56,60 lofts.i use the TM burner 2 irons which are pretty strong lofts,my PW goes 120/125 the 52,56,60 range at 105 80 65 with what ide consider controlled "full" swings, when faced with yardages of 100 80 or 60 i use said clubs with this swing and they are dialled in just right..i suppose the reasoning of bending these out or having lofts at 54,58,64 or whatever would be to individuals needs...for me these popular lofts are perfect for my game...horses for courses and all that.
2. i have a black pair of oakley radars with smoke lenses and a pair of oakley jawbones in white with iridium lenses, the latter which i prefer to use for cycling..the radars are nice and simple and hang loose over they bridge, secure enough to stay on but there rimless on the lower half of the the lense so its like your not wearing anything..i feel less pressure on my face and temples with these to.
3. This is my driver swing now 7 months after i started..consistantly reaching 220 with a very slight fade..tell me what younthink..
4. i was just wondering for all the UK users of this forum out there what i should be expecting at the national golf show, ive never been before and im lookin out for a new putter and irons as my of the shelf dunlops are at there peak performance for me now, what deals am i likely to find and is it a good day out in general, ive looked online and its just general info as to what stores, pros fitting booths will be there etc..im after something a bit more specific...like do they do better offers on the sunday as they want to get rid of stock, what discount do they do off RRP price, what freebies like free rounds of golf etc do they do...any help appreciated, thanks in advance Halfpennyhacker.
5. This is my latest swing..now at 14 handicap..i play all my irons from front foot,3 wood and hybrid also, driver just inside of left heel..all connections are straight and consistant, although my 5,6,7 iron all go about the same distance (6 and 7 definately topping out at 150).. your thoughts are most appreciated,i think i might need to get my left shoulder down more helping my left arm stay straighter through the backswing..it seems to work for me however so im not too fussed about changing it dramatically.
6. used to slice like crazy with my 10.5 degree driver and could always count on my 3 wood off the tee/deck from rough,it was my safety club...i was hitting them roughly about the same distance (when i did hit a decent shot with the big dog that is) so i stayed with the 3 wood..ive recently bought a 13 degree driver which is more forgiving and i hit it about 10/12 yards further than my 3 wood at about 80% swing, maybe a loftier driver might help you like it did me??....good luck
7. imn the market for new iron set and came across the TM superlaunch burners,i like the look of them and the reviews so far have been good (especially when it comes to forgiveness and slow swingers,ie..me) ive ony been playing 4 months but shootin low 90s and probably wont get these till christmas, hopefully they will still be available new then,is anyone using these irons or have used these irons and what did you think, also as a side note,i have small hands and have a pretty strong right hand grip which feels comfortable, when going to a more neautral grip it feels awkward but results ae better, would putting undersize grips on my clubs help this or is it not worth the hassle, thanks in advance..halfpenny hacker
8. i noticed alot of pro tour players are grinding there leading edges on there wedges to a square finish as opposed to the stock curved finish,is this purely for there own piece of mind or does it have another purpose, say like for spin or something, and is it worth giving it a try for mid handicappers??
9. forget girls..play golf religiously, get really really good at it,then get all the ***** you want!!
10. played a local municipal today and shaved 7 shots off my best shooting a 92,driving felt good with only one mulligan took..2 putted mostly but im happy with the result, although my only gripe is the yardage markers stated 100 to the green were way off ( without wind against me i was hittin an 8i to get on??) oh well...roll on next weekend
11. This is my swing,i know the video quality isnt very good but its the only footage i have right now (well until the weekend anyhow) what do you think first impressions wise?? as i say ive only been playing 4 months (about 13 full rounds of golf and a few range days).. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13. ide say ive got the weight distribution down as its at a comfortable position and i think if its any further forward im likely to fall over lol...another thing im considering is getting a driver with a higher loft than the 10.5 degree i have now, with the consistency im getting from my 3 wood i think a higher lofted driver might be good for me,especially as ive gone from hooking to slicing in the space of a grip change..what you think?? i must add that the driver has had an inch of its original shaft length would this effect shot accuracy at all?? as i say 90 percent of my shots all across the board bar the driver are straight down the line maybe a slight right to left (baby fade is it? im not sure??) im not sure whats happening with the "big dog"..
14. thats probably as close to my golf swing as i could have imagined, weight on left leg and even more so on follow through,i forgot to mention im in a more upright position for pitching and chipping, although the weight is still on my leading leg (dependant on the lie),i thought it was unorthadox and something i would have to change as everyone ive seen at the range (playing partner included) does a weight transfer during drives..im still not all clued up on the technicals of golf as i say ive only been playing 4 months, buts its reassuring that the natural swing i have (which i thought was a freakshow) is actually a correct type of swing..
15. Ive been playing golf now for about 4 months (every saturday and a handful of times on the range) at first like any beginner i hadnt got a clue but somehow was picking up scores at around the 115/120 area,as times gone on i have broken 100 (94 to be precise) and changed a few things,i used to hook it ridiculous at first until i realised i was using a too strong grip, with a bit of work bringing it more neutral my shots are pretty straight slightly right to left if at all..i also give up on my driver for now, opting for a 3 wood instead as i can hit this 9 times out 10 of ten flush and true (my driver now slices like crazy with new grip) my irons used to be worm burners hooking left resulting in me hacking the ball up the fairways...not pretty...until last week.. me and my playing partner went to the range and being at the end of my tether with my ever worsening iron shots i decided to play them all off the left heel with what feels with a considerable amount of weight on my left foot, for my 3-hybrid,6 and 7 iron it works a treat getting distances of 190,160,145/50...i tried 8,9,PW,SW all from centre stance with the over exagerated (to me) weight on left foot and once again works brilliantly..now when it comes to the 3 and 5 wood i do exactly the same,i i adress to the ball with hands behind it (driving position lets say) then im topping, slicing ,hooking all manner of things yet when i have my hands infront of the ball playing it like my irons it flys..easily 220 + my playing partner says it looks weird as its like im puttin way to much weight on my leading leg and practically bearind down on the ball, yet my swing is relaxed and confortable...has anyone else had any experience playing there drives or woods in this way,and as its workin shall i continue as opposed to using a more traditional swing method..
