Maturity, tactfulness and patience will carry you a long ways in life. Listen to the great advice given here, most of us older guys have been through some of the things you are experiencing now. Your clubs should do the talking, if that doesn't work, then this is probably the wrong team for you. For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, and self-sacrifice.

I use a very conventional, grip, stance, and putter (old ping anser). My grip is very (loose) soft as I like to feel the weight of the putter head and the soft grip allows that for me. I have practiced long and hard to take my wrists out of stroke and feel my shoulders drive the entire stroke. My ping is "face weighted" as my stroke is more "back and through" on the target line. I will say that I sometimes struggle on slower greens (8 and below). I have a tendency of wanting to 'hit' the ball which throws my path out of whack.

The greatest of all time? Jack! The greatest current day golfer? Tiger ....I believe Tiger will surpass Jack, but he hasn't go there just yet.
