  1. Talked to our Taylormade ambassador and he said it was a Dick's Sporting Goods exclusive thing. Here are some pictures of the shoe though.
  2. Mines kinda cheesy but I don't care haha. My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and she decided to give me this little coin that has the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon on one side and on the other side has a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that says, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us."
  3. Hey I was thinking about converting my Corza Ghost putter into a belly putter. I've been contemplating getting one for a while but just haven't been able to find on in a lefty for a good price. I was thinking that adding a shaft extension to it and just throwing on a belly putter grip would do the trick but idk if that might be a no no. Anyone have any thoughts?
  4. Pants just look nicer to me. I've always worn shorts in the summer before but that was because I never had any actual golf pants with all this ultra breathable material. I just bought some of those climalite adidas pants so I plan on trying them out in the summer to see how it goes.
  5. 100% positive. They look like the adipures almost. They come in grey, black and white and they're pretty much completely one color but the adidas 3 stripes logo that is on the heel of the shoe running up and down. You would only be able to see the stripe from behind and not from the side. They look really nice. I tried one of them on and the only thing I didn't like about them was that they were a pain to get on and they were a bit snug in the middle section. Never thought my feet would ever warrant getting a wide in any kind of shoe but if they ever go up on TMAG I'll be buying them in a hurry because they're sweet lookin'. I'll take some pictures or something the next time I go in.
  6. We recently got some in stock where I work but I hadn't heard anything of them before. No announcement of their release or anything. I tried looking them up online and couldn't find them anywhere either. I was wondering if anyone else has seen these shoes or heard about them. They look pretty nice despite their very basic look.
  7. Tape really doesn't have any kind of effect on it. I hit it the other day as well. I wouldn't say it felt dead. It could certainly go but I didn't like the feel of it. I would much rather have the R11 or R11s.
  8. You know you can have the shaft cut down to the length you want it right? If you're 5'7 then that would probably mean you need roughly 1/4 of an inch shorter shaft. The 2.0 is an full 1 1/2 inches longer than standard which is 45". The R11, G20, G15 and Machspeed are all 3/4 of an inch longer than standard. The Octane is 1 inch longer. If length was an issue with the 2.0 then it's going to be an issue with any club you purchase. You'll need to have them cut down probably at least .25" maybe even .50" in order to get the same feel and effect that the club would have for anyone else. I'll tell you right now though to not waste your money on the Machspeed. I've never heard anyone have anything good to say about it.
  9. I've never personally had this problem but then again I've never really played with anyone other than my group of friends. But I think if you put some earbuds in and just listened to some music when you play it might help. It'll tune everything else out and also help you maintain a good tempo.
  10. My grip I believe is alright. I'll record another video here soon and let y'all get a look at it. I was taught to have my right hand on the club in the same position you would have it as if you were just standing and letting your arms hang and to have my right thumb at 10:30 on the club. Then the left hand should be pointed at the target. That's the way I was told and it usually works without much of a hitch. I think I did notice that the club comes back on a slightly different path on the down the line swing with the hybrid. RC I appreciate the comment. Are there any drills you can tell me about? A video preferably as I'm a bit of a visual learner. Thanks for the input guys keep it comin' I wanna get this 20 handicap down haha.
  11. Well at my store we're not allowed to demo them because we'd have to take a club from our stock room and tape it up. But Edwin Watts had a cart with actual demo clubs so if you go somewhere that has a demo cart then it should be all good.
  12. Demos. Most stores should have them by now they just can't be displayed or sold until the 3rd. My store has had them for about a week and a half now. Just no lefties for me to try out so I had to go to Edwin Watts.
  13. Most people I've talked to seem to think that x-flex doesn't necessarily mean that you have to have a freakishly fast swing, which is in my opinion what you'd have to have to hit it that far. And yes they are trailing left on me a bit.
  14. Well I went to Edwin Watts today to try out the R11s since my store doesn't have it in a lefty. I definitely liked it better than the R11. The launch monitor was reading me anywhere from 103-111 swing speed and ball speed up to 158. My spin was ridiculous. I'm not sure how accurate that machine was on my spin. It was saying my spin rate was in the 4000 area. I didn't even know that was possible. I asked the guy helping me if he thought the Kai'li would be a good fit for me and he said the 'ahina would probably be better but he seemed to think that a fubuki would be the best for me. I looked up the fubuki alpha which is the only shaft from the fubuki line that's offered on the R11s and it was saying that it was pretty much in the same area of the kai'li in terms of kick point and torque. Pretty much what I took away from it was that the 'ahina 60g in X would be what I need. Anyone got some input for me?
  15. Yea it's pretty sweet. I don't know if it's just me but it seems like they've always got some kind of glitch or issue on that site though. It's been down a few times in the past couple months and they always seem to have some kind of issue with the store. Things like the discount not applying or the inability to add things to your cart. Really glad they finally got the Pentas up on there though. Love those things.
  16. I would love to have some Titleist in my bag but that's just too rich for my blood haha. I'm on TMAG connection so I get really good deals on Taylormade stuff.

  18. Yea I'm really wanting that R11s driver but I might just hold out on it for a while. We're getting the full line of Ping and Titleist equipment and full fitting stations for both in a couple months where I work. All we've got right now is a Taylormade Iron fitting station. So I might just wait until we get those fitting stations in so I can experiment with some different shafts.
  19. Yea I was lookin to get the Diamana Kai ' li. I don't know if it would be better to get a stiff 70 or 80g shaft or an x with a 60g. I can't find any place around my area that has any demos with x or any clubs on display to tape up that are x and a left handed. If you go to the members swings section you should be able to see mine. I've got a couple videos up in there. I'm not really swingin out of my shoes in any of them more trying to take an easy swing and correct the issues I was having that day. The 2 with a hybrid in there were high and left so your dead right on that one but I feel those two were more me than the club.
  20. Well I'm debating right now on whether or not I need x-flex. I've been working in a pro shop for about 5 months now so I've learned a pretty good share about fitting people in that time. The thing is most people I fit are people with more average swing speeds (not to say that mines blazing fast but I do believe it's above average.) so I never really know where the line is with faster swing speeds. I don't know exactly what my speed it but I know that I can get up to 160 ish ball speed which I would think would put me around 106-109ish in swing speed? I do struggle with control a little bit as sometimes the ball does leak left on me. (I'm a lefty) I'm going to be getting a new driver and 3 wood here soon so I'm wondering if I should up the stiffness.
  21. I fully welcome the lines and stuff if someone can help me out haha.
  22. It's usually a fade. I don't think I really push it too much. Most of the time if I miss it's just a fade.
  23. Just to give people an idea of what I'm struggling with I'll go ahead and just tell you. When I miss on a shot I definitely favor a miss to the left. I like most beginners play a fade. For the past 4 months or so that hasn't been a problem. When I first started it was probably the world's worst slice. We're talking 70 yards or so here. I got that fixed and recently I've been hitting them much straighter and I've actually been shaping my shots more or less. The only problem I had left after fixing the slice was an extreme lack of consistency with contact. When I made contact it was on the center of the face almost every time but I would come up too thin or too fat on a lot of shots. And then yesterday when I played I was fading everything pretty bad. If anyone can help me with my swing so I can develop more consistency it would be much appreciated. If I can just get my swing down then I can focus on my putting. I'm averaging a 3 putt every time just about .
  24. Howdy everyone!
  25. Haha I appreciate it. I probably need to go to the range and just record for a little bit so ya'll can see the bad shots too. The ones with the hybrid both took a pretty bad fade. The down the line angle went well to the left of that furthest tree and the second one faded maybe about 20 or so yards left. Drives me crazy all these little things I don't spot.
