  2. My.opinion would be that dad should explain to his girls before hand that ". We'll go over but they might be too focused to stop for autographs . If you look between tees , most guys wont look at or acknowledge anyone. No hand slapping, nothing for the most part. I believe at the advice of their " sports psycologist". -msp
  3. I think i would have asked too if i saw that driver for that price. You didnt do anything wrong in my opinion. Now, the guy with the flooring will most likely have some bad carma coming his way.
  4. I have a Bridgestone driver that replaced my superfast 2.0. 3/4" shorter. When i lengthened it to the same length as my old one: it feels better at the top of my swing. A little more length added weight and a little more flex to suit my swing.
  5. Me and three other guys have a little grudge match set up for 7:30 in the morning. We plan on playing 36 but we' ll just have to see how hot it gets.
  6. It really does matter how much green you have to work with and slope between you and the hole. I think a 54* is a really good loft for alot of shots around the green. I have a 50*,54*, and 60* in my bag.
  7. If i had one piece of advice it would be to practice hard from green to tee and learn the basic swing. I think most people dont spend enough time chipping and putting. That is where you will shave more shots off of you score. And, have fun for Gods sake
  8. Maybe not much of an answer, but i think you should play the tees that you get the most enjoyment playing. Some people dont like constantly hitting mid to long irons on par 4's. But if you want to challenge yourself , try moving back and see how it feels when you are done. Sometimes moving back will take some hazards out of play.
  9. Thats good to know. Thanks
  10. I never read where you said you hit balls with these clubs or even tried them. Just some you tube link. Thanks. One of the biggest reasons for asking is because i did some research and read that the nike vr pro had more weight near the top line than the titleist mb710. I'll try to find a shop that has both and check them out.
  11. I am not looking for anyone to tell me the difference in these clubs. I know the difference. Again for the 3rd fn time , i was only trying to get feedback from those who play the two models i spoke about. Why ia that si hard to comprehend? Haha
  12. I think you will find that on shots on the first cut around the green , a 7 iron or possibly 8 or 9 can be used . I sometimes will grip a 7 iron like my putter and use a putting stroke. This is very effective on shots where you need to get the ball rolling from just off green. Wrists firm and just stroke it.
  13. I would suggest going to an Edwin Watts or Golsmith and actually using it on a practice green. Ping makes a real solid putter.
  14. Think again. Read above and i thanked those who offered. But, there is a diffrence and i will be looking at different clubs next month. Some may be the same but the two i asked about are very different. All of this because i was looking for feed back from those who actually play the two models i asked about ? Really? Was not looking for specifications on irons , but personal feed back. Wow
  15. Uh, no that is one of about 50 drivers that i custom finished. Knucklehead!
  16. Your name explains your attitude. Grow up.
  17. Nice. You ARE very knowledgable.
  18. Wow dude you are bored huh? Maybe in my earnest attempt to avoid the all so common " what makes you think you can hit blades ?" Response is the only reason i mentioned what i used to hit, and what i currently hit. some of you must have thought you entered the sand box instead of sand trap forum. I appreciate the very few somewhat helpful responses. The others, jesus christ man what are you smokin? Wow!
  19. Wow. Nice enough info already
  20. Nice going.it takes alot of work to where you are at. Congrats!
  21. That comment was so the know it all goobs like you might show up and give a history lesson on the blade and how i should get the one that they play. Instead i just got your useful info. Hey, I knew some bored smart ass would show up , and they did.
  22. Ok thanks now go piss on someone elses thread. I forgot, IT IS the internet.:~(
  23. I can only assume you mean your left foot and not right. Anyway, if you are in fact pulling down with your arms that could produce a little over the top action for sure
  24. Good point here. Good drill for hitting down on the ball is you practice iron shots focus your eyes on the front of the ball instead of the back of it. Also, on the driveryou could be taking theclub back too far on the back swing
  25. Ok, maybe I wasnt very clear. I was looking for some folks who have maybe played one or the other. I know they all look alike. That was mostly the reason for picking those two. Haha.it appears to me that the Nikes have more meat higher on the back of the blade. I was looking for responses from those who play these irons . Thanks
