  1. 79 on our main course which is par 72 handicap 13
  2. i was in the trees again off the tee on a par 3. Had a little pitch from the trees onto the green, not a difficult shot at all and had a clear path to the pin. as i pitched the ball, the noise of the strike startled a bird about 6 feet in front of me. as the bird went to fly away, the ball hit it right on the ass. bird flew away and i was still in the trees. and yes, it was the the only birdie i hit that day
  3. i feel instinct is the best thing in a golf swing, so why use it up on a practice swing. i do always make a rotational swing horizontally to get the feel for tempo.
  4. gleneagles, St Andrews and Turnberry.
  5. biggest frustration for me is for the previous 3 weeks my driving has been superb. really straight and long (for me anyhoo) at around 260 - 270 yards - my short game and putting have been garbage. this week my driving has been awful, slicing and block shots everywhere - my short game and putting on the other hand has been excellent. i broke 80 for the first time last week, shot 79 which is 7 over - not too bad for a 14 handicapper whose only been playing 2 years. why is it when one part of your game is good, you lose somewhere else. Bloody golf! im gonna start playing snooker
  6. Par 5 at deerpark in Livingston Scotland. Had only been playing 4 months (only been playing 2 years this month). Hit a screamer of a drive (for me), then a rescue club over the trees of a dog leg. Sitting 10 feet from green with pin another 15 feet on. Chipped in :-). Originally thought it was a birdie until I was told it was par 5!!
  7. Break 80 and do it consistently. Get to single figure h/c Get "golf fit"
