i use a brand new Tad Moore "tom morris" Brassie 14* for all my tee shots and fairway woods shots......so far so good -
3rd time on a golf course,and i shot a 69 on the front 9, 38 degrees and rainin................i counted every stroke and just had so much fun bein out there....had a great shot on 4 and 5 with my mashie were i popped up onto the green within 3ft of the flag....so that was my highlight for the day....and just lovin this game.........hooked

D all the way..................i dont have many clubs in my bag YET...lol......but the ones i do have (and the ones ill be aquiring SOON) have their place.....in the back(top) and all by its lonesome is the Brassie,soon to be sharing a row with a Mid Iron,next row is a Jigger Cleek and a Mashie (with a space reserved for a Mashie Niblick on its way),and down in front is my blade putter

today,it would have to be an approach to the green,second shot,bout 75yds, popped one up with the mashie(face opened up),crosswind,landed on the green and rolled within 4 ft of the hole

56 on front 9 of a par 3,35 degrees and winds 30-40mph.................kept em low(easier to do with the hickories and the mesh style ball i was usin)....i counted EVERY stroke includin some NASTY rough/water/etc....... not pretty but i had a blast playin out there today...i was the ONLY guy out there.....

i just had a thought....and i need to know the answer cause im goin to the range tommorow mornin(itll be 30ish in the am....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)..IF i keep score.........................how do i score any shot banked off the ball recovery tractor? lol -

only diff i can maybe see would be that out on the course im not distracted by the tarps,bag stands,etc..........that are just out of my peripheral view at the range -
i read something similar in another post and it got me to thinkin,that its noticeably different hittin from the range than out on the course,the one time i was out on the course,it felt more comfortable hitting the ball than at the range/off the mats...........any one have a thought as to why that might be? or am i just crazy?(a possability)

my best shot,first tee,first hole,FIRST game ever,in a heck of a wind.......par 4 dogleg rt,383..........first swing with brassie straight up middle of the fairway clearing a bunker,setting up to a nice easy approach to green with a mashie.................and a three putt....lol.............oh well still learning

know what ya mean bout the nerves,after a couple months at the driving range,i had my first game on sunday(playing with hickory shafts no less) against my step father,my brother(recently former pro),and his best friend(asst pro at the course we were playing).........all and all a great and memorable,high scoring(lol) day

Just started recently so four(all hickory shafted) at the moment :Brassie,Jigger,Mashie,and Putter................doubtless ill add more as i learn and go along,but thats enough to get me goin
