  1. Impossible. PGA Tour pros don't pure the ball 98% of the time. Nice sticks, though
  2. Even though it's going to cost a good amount more, I think, until a reasonable system is in place to verify ala Ping, that I will be buying retail. *GASP*
  3. A) No. B) if two perfect shots back-to-back will get you there and that happens once every, say, 50 times you play a par 5, is it intellectually honest to say you can do it? I play a lot of golf and I play with some very good golfers, low single-digits to plus handicaps, and putts for eagle are rare. To say that as many people can get there then would be a wedge away after two good shots (as this poll would suggest) is borderline ridiculous.
  4. You would be insane to go the MB's having just started playing this year... this discussion comes up over and over again on these boards. Yes, a wildly over-active ego is also involved.
  5. I've almost decided never to buy off eBay again. It's just getting more and more questionable what's real and what's not, and it's not worth saving money but not knowing...
  6. by two shots...
  7. Haven't heard about that one... do share
  8. Absolutely Tiger. He could probably carry his staff bag and still throw down.
  9. Don't ask...
  10. I saw that shot, hybrid from about 205 if I remember correctly.
  11. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't believe 97% of the people who claim they can. Put it that way.
  12. Top this... Teed of on 17 today, a 435 yard dogleg left par 4. Skied my drive big time, had 225 left for my second. Looked at my playing partners and joked, "Guys, I'm gonna get home in two from here"; mind you, it's a par 4, they laughed their asses off. I took out my 3 wood, hit a low, burning draw that hit about 20 yards short of the green and rolled up to about 15 feet. After that second, I just knew the putt was going in. Wasn't too difficult, 2-3 balls out left up the hill, and sure enough, I rolled it dead square in the middle of the hole for 3. How's that for a birdie? Terrier ?
  13. I respectfully disagree. That seems to be the prevailing opinion around here, yet, I bet if we checked ShotLink PGA Tour stats for this year, less players on Tour probably got home this year as a percentage than is being claimed here. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't believe 90% of people on here and how long they claim they are... well, yeah, actually, that's exactly what I'm saying.
  14. He had a Titleist cap on, he signed with them the day he turned pro, but to answer your question, no, Nike was not in the club business back then. He won the '97 Masters with the same clubs he won the '96 U.S. Amateur with - a Mizuno 14/29 combo set. He switched to Titleist irons at some point after that, but that's what he won his first Master's with...
  15. Well, Bridgestone does the forging for Nike...
