  1. The old caveat of buyer beware. It's the reality of the day, I guess. Saw some sellers were offering the recently recalled toys. The majority of sellers are honest and trustworthy, but it only takes one, if you're buying from him. It's still possible to find great deals on good clubs, though. A friend of mind got some on ebay, it was an estate sale. Husband dies and wife is unloading. Asking for serial numbers is great advice that should rule out fakes.
  2. It's probably an exercise in futility to compare anyone who competed at different times, different clubs, balls, etc. There's no doubt they were both good for golf. I feel fortunate that I was able to see both of them play in their prime and experience the impact and charisma of their personalities and the brilliance of their game in real time.
  3. You're right, they have the whole package, plus some great players ='s superbowl champs. I can't help pulling for Manning, though, he has such spirit and passion. Brady leaves me cold. But, cool and calm under pressure will win games. Just not as much fun to watch. Speaking of fun to watch, go Tebow!
  4. Naples bh & gc fine, and with the traffic that time of year, you wont be spending more time in traffic than on the course. But should definitely give old cork screw a whirl. My old stopping grounds. Ahh, Naples in January!
  5. One has to wonder what more Marino could have accomplished if he had had a decent defense. And if Manning had a Moss, what would his numbers be. Brady's undeniable great, but he should be kissing Moss's feet, not to mention the offensive line.
  6. You're right, Tiger raised the bar in more ways than one. He's been the best thing to happen to the sport in a long time. He even got my wife interested in golf, for heaven's sake.
  7. Compared to other sports, golf is unique in that an overweight , out of shape smoker can occasionaly win a champanionship. I can't really think of another professional sport where this can happen. However, Tiger is consistantly in the money not only because he's probably the most talented, practices the longest hours, but he's the most fit guy out there. The rest of the field is going to have to face up that they're going to have to make physical fitness part of their game plan if they want to beat Tiger. Frankly, I don't have the time or the energy.
  8. I think Tiger and Jack are probably near each of in skill and ability. However, the physical conditioning program and eating habits of Tiger will enable him to exceed Jack's records and playing longivity.
  9. I have the serious job of trying to be funny. Successful at it most of the time. Draw better than I play.
