  1. I have a slight over the top swing my normal shot is 10-15yd fade, can turn into a slice if im having a bad day tried everything and cant for the life of me hit a draw. My thinking is that if i can hit a draw i can set up slightly to hit a draw which will help me elimate my fade/slice. If so how do i go about hitting a draw or am i mistaken and it wont help ?
  2. i think its hilarious, first time i heard it i couldnt stop laughing it doesnt hurt anybody so what the problem? lol
  3. I have been playing golf for about 3 years now got myself to 20 handicapp, have a slight over the top swing, shot shape is usually about 10-15yd fade with driver 3 wood 3,4,5i, hit the rest straight but sometimes turns into a slice if i am having a bad day. Ok putter, mediocre short game, terrible bunker player. Average shot distance is usally about: Driver 240yd 3 wood 220yd 3 iron 200yd 4 190yd 5180yd 6170yd 7160yd 8145yd 9135yd P 120yd S 95yd L 60yd I am curious as to what i need to do in order to shoot lower scores?, whether it be working on my swing to eliminate the fade or working on my short game and bunker shots or even trying to get more power and hit longer shots. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. He doesnt want pga tour wins he wants majors, he has openly said he doesnt really care about tour events his main goal is majors and beating nicklaus. There is also alot more pressure to deal with in majors rather than tour events.
  5. Ok, first of all im going to get it on record that im a massive tiger fan, hes my favourite golfer and in my oppinion he is the greatest ever regardless of wether he beats jacks 18 major titles. But after watching him all this year particularly in the majors i cant help but think he has lost it all together. I acknowledge that theres alot more talent out there than there was in the years when he dominated making it harder for him to win majors but he hasnt even really been close. He seems to have lost the ability to play well consistantly, he can still bang a good score in and shoot low rounds but seems to be very rare now compared to 5+ years ago, i dont know wether its the divorce or his previous injuries catching up on him or just hes lost his love for the game but he just doesnt seem to have it any more. Lets look back at his form in majors this year for example straight to the point the masters at augusta was a complete disaster shooting 72-76-72-74 finishing 5 over par t40, the us open was better he played well first 2 rounds then fell to peices over the weekend, the open he was very tentative using his 2 iron stinger from the tee leaving him lengthy approach shot making it hard to attack the pin instead of htting his driver n having a wedge in and the recent pga again played well for the first 2 rounds then crumbling over the weekend. Mcilroy went on to win it by 8 strokes, alot of golf enthusiasts seem to be trying to build a rivalry between woods and mcilroy calling him the wonderkid and new kid on the block and even saying he will be the one to beat jacks 18 majors n not tiger, if i was woods i would be trying to prove a point and win in a field including mcilroy but he just doesnt seem to be able to do it. It makes me wonder if he is in fact finished which i hope he proves my wrong by finding form and winning more majors but at this moment in time i just cant see it can you?
  6. thanks for the tips funnily enough i played with a scratch handicapper the other day and he said i do have a slight outside in swing but most of the problem was i wasnt following through properly and that my driver was finishing infront of me where my wedges finish. Any tips on how to solve that problem?.
  7. i got the vrs driver 10.5 regular its awesome
  8. hi ive been playing golf for about 3 years now got my handicap down to 18 but no matter what i cant shake slicing my driver and low irons. i hit my wedges and upto my 7 iron straight with no problems i also hit my 3 wood and a 3 iron hybrid straight with no problems off the tee and fairway. but when it comes to hitting my 4,5,6 iron and driver i tend to slice them 8 times out of 10, especially the driver and my drives go unbelievable high. iv tried literally everything from grips to stance i even change my swing flattening it out incase it was to steep and i just cant shake it. its got to the point now where as soon as ive got a drive i dread it and tense up, im aiming left all the time and even a good straight drive for me is a fade 30yds from where im aiming. the rest of my game is pretty solid if i can fix this slice problem il probably shave 6-8 shots of my handicap as most of the courses i play are narrow fairways with trees either side so i get into alot of trouble. if any one has any siggestions at all i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.
