I have a "Carolina Trails" membership. Includes driving range(400 balls/day), 7 courses unlimited weekday play, which works for me since week ends are crazy busy, for $900/year. Nice courses to choose from. There's one course in this association which is having financial issues, not paying staff and vendors, perhaps others but no direct knowledge of any issues.

Not really a juvenile topic considering the penaltys for using. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol and will not work for marijuana. It's not a performance enhancer unless the sport is eating so banning an athlete is silly. How can you deny a person an activity that hurts no one other than the person involved, and that's assuming marijuana is harmful. Ban alcohol and legalize marijuana IMO.

Golf already has a lot of silly rules. Who really cares if a putter is held against the body. IMO it looks silly, but it doesn't affect my game how a player holds the putter. And, if it's an advantage why isn't everyone using a long putter.

Thanks Rulesman, He is a much better golfer and has been playing for decades, interesting. Why not play every ball you think may be lost as a provisional? At least there's a chance you find your 1st ball and only are hitting 2.

on a par 3 185yd one of the players hit a ball and we're pretty sure it went into stream which runs in front of green. He opts to hit another ball and I ask, I'm a relatively new player, if he's taking a provisional. He says no and he's hitting 2. I've been scroing myself so that Iif I call provisional and find my ball then I'm playing 2. Where if I don't call provisional I've been hitting 3 off the tee. I think he's right and just want to clear things up.
