  1. I recomend that you have your good old self club fitted by any Major golf club manufacturer who has the right equipment . From there you can have your clubs made to groove onto what type of game you play . Kinda expensive but well worth it in terms of satisfaction and lowering your handicap . Of course all of these would be for nothing if you dont spend time working your clubs out . 3 times a week on the range 200 balls min . A day at a Par 3 course and another at a standard .
  2. Try these clubs out at a local golf outlet with a indoor range . Dont forget to try out the MIZUNO F-50 . You will love the way this club reacts both on the tee and in the fairways .
  3. Invest in hiring a good Golf Pro to study what seems to be a hindrance in your golf swing . With the tech they have at their hands they can pin point immediately the problem and give you a sure solution on how to cure what ever ailes you . Be sure that these are accredited Pros and have tons of good feedback from past pupils . Take TIGER and PHIL as examples . They too needed someone to give them sound advise .
  4. Try the Two Bar putter from Guerin . No need to change a thing . just make sure you got the proper lenght . Would be best if you can have a Belly shaft fitted according to your specs . trust me you wont be sorry .
  5. Scratch to low handicap can more than always get it there on two . But for those who should know better it would be to their advantage to get there on 3 and be assured of a high percentage of making a birdie putt .
  6. Go to a golf store that can do driver fitting according to your specs . Be ready to spend as there isnt a short cut to having a club taylormade accoring to your specs . After that take a lesson or two on how to master the club you just bought . That would give you a view on where to put your ball and how far you can hit without spraining your spine and having someone to drive you home .
  7. You would be better off with the 07 Cobra carbon cb with project X 7.0 shafts . These will bring your game to the next level . I do presume you can hit draws or fades at will ? Then these are just the clubs you need to go to the next level . SCRATCH . Good luck and i know you wont be sorry .
  8. By far the 3 wood is an exceptional club that can take the place of the driver or the 4 & five wood . It is stable if you have it made to your specs . If its just one of those you purchased from a golf auction then it will take time to master it . the Hybrid has a shorter distance covered . For the type of club you mentioned , it should go max 260yards for good hitters and 180 for average golfers with slow swing speeds . The 3 wood can be launched any where from 200 to 300 yards . Having a bigger head and heavy weight makes it more stable in terms on accuracy and distance .
  9. Yes ... There is a Short cut to becoming a scratch player is so short a time . First , find a job which can pay for your being absent or late most of the time . You have to spend at least 4 hours in the practice range and another 2 in the golf course and last 1 hr in the putting green . So a night job may be to your liking . DJ in Clubs get tons of cash per night depending on what type of club you perform for . Second is hiring one of the top 100 golf instructor to polish your swing and all aspects of your game . Third is to play for cash everytime you get to play someone . There is that sense of excitement in getting your act together to beat the next person and move up a notch in going home with your course fee paid for . After you have done all of the above i will get back to you in time for the next suggestion on how to be a scratch golfer .
