okay so there was a fox laying down to the right of the large rocks behind the green at the top of the image well i pulled my tee shot a little, and sure enough, i hit the fox thought i killed it at first, it rolled down a the hill a few times, but got up and ran off. so i guess its ok anyways after the ball hit the fox, it flew into the desert area and into an unplayable lie. So whats the official rule here? i took a penalty for an unplayable lie and finished the hole. but could i have just dropped where it hit the fox with no penalty?

so i have a garmin 60csx i use it for hiking, hunting, driving and golf For the golf course i usually just get on google earth, find the course mark the greens and transfer the waypoints and label them hole 1, hole 2 etc.... but that can get very tedious So is there a site, where someone has already done the work, and i can just download the waypoints?

congrats, i remember when i was as that point now i cant break 80 shot an 81 yesterday, and thats with taking an 8 on a easy par 5, and going double bogey, bogey to finish the round

sucks that he is getting in trouble for speaking his mind. I have a couple friends in the service and they completely agree with his comments. We need more new americans like him http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/print...864&type;=story

i dont know what it is. I guess im just generally pretty happy when i get to play with him, which is not very often. I must also add i have had some very bad rounds with him. Earlier in the summer i got the bad case of the shanks. On saturday i shot an 89 or something like that. Sunday a 123! Didnt matter what i did, shank, shank, shank -
gotta be Big John, or Boo

sad thing is a few years ago i could whoop his ass on the course, but then he had to get a job on a golf course and become a club pro. Cant complain though, i play for free where ever i go with him!! -
im still holding out for my Boy's they have the team to do it. Now only if they can pull their heads outa their ass

Who do you think is the best in college football?
justinbaker replied to golfLovergirl's topic in Sports
well im gonna gave to go with Texas Tech, just because it seems they are playing so well. They are scoring with ease against top notch teams. Just hope their defense can keep up -
i think your plan is great. and now just work really really hard on your short game. its the one area of golf that amatuers can become as nearly as good as pros (we all cant carry it 330 yards in the air like JB ) So get good at the short game and ill bet youll even par some of the par 3's you layup on

he did the same thing to me last year when i had a chance. And i choked again. I dont mind when he tells me. i do the same thing. i was giving him chit the whole time he had 7 birdies and only shot 1 under -
Well i havnt played a bunch of top courses. But here are the ones i have played New Mexico: Paako ridge Colorado: Glacier Club both are wonderful courses, hell i think any course in the mountains are wonderful!

Like the title says best round ever, but still on a quest to break 80. Shot an 80 To start off my index is a 12.9 and this is how the round began Well i was playing with my younger brother (who is a scratch) so i guess he brings out the best in me. bogey bogey to start. This is very typical of me. Parred the next couple and then got my first EAGLE!!!! and followed that up with a birdie (very very unusual of me) Parred the next 2 and then get to 9 A 180 yard par 3 over water. And then my brother tells me i can shoot 1 under if i par. i think you know what happens next.... high fade into the drink!!, then another bad shot ended up taking a triple Well the next 9 was not as exciting, but not too bad. Get to 18 hardest hole on the course. Long dogleg right uphill and once again my brother tells me if i par i shoot 78.... Pull my drive OB, ended up taking a double for an 80...i was so close. I was happy but pissed that i coulda done much better. But i guess thats golf for ya. I only get to play a couple of times a month. so i guess its not too bad
-
hmm lets see i usually dont pay green fees anywhere, my brother is a pro and he gets me on when i wanna play equipment, i just use my brothers left over staff gear when he gets new sticks i dont wear a glove so that saves me a little bit at least food... maybe 50 a month. i guess i am pretty lucky that he is a pro, i have gotten to play alot of courses that i would never had a chance to play if it wasnt for him.
-
well the assistant pro is my brother, and he says its out of bounds. However, i think he just assumed it was OB, not knowing if there was an official local rule. I doubt the pro knows either, he hasnt been the pro here very long. I guess ill just try and find out from some of the members that have been around for a while
-
well i am not aware of any official ruling at the course. nothing on the card or anything. So i wonder if it would be safe to assume that its in bounds since nothing is posted
-
ok so heres my question, i have two holes running next to each other, but separated by a road. There are OB stakes lining each side of the road. If i slice it into the other fairway, is it OB, or can i still play it since its still on the course?
-
well considering i cant hit my driver for *&%$ i only hit my 3 wood off the tee, but i average 260 or so with it
-
i really hope you are kidding about the "mexico" comment, although i know some of you yankees dont know that "New Mexico" is a state and its been damn cold lately, its 22 and snowing right now
-
okay so need some help getting something for my brother for xmas. Hes an assistant pro, so he already has all the balls, clubs, bags, hats....etc that he could ever want golf wise. So got any idea what i could get him thats golf related? Perhaps something thats pretty creative? I know he has a pocket rules book, but i was thinking about getting him an official usga rules book, any idea where i can get one? and any other ideas would be great
