  1. Hey Boston, can you check your email. I'm having problems signing into the league with the new email. Thanks man.
  2. Doesn't matter to me
  3. Thanks Slice
  4. Hey Boston, has the draft already happened. I signed up and paid with an email account that was lost. I have tried to send you the new email, but I don't know if you've been to the board. If anyone else that signed up has any insight I would appreciate it. If my team was auto drafted, that is fine also.
  5. Good call on the foot, it skewed things. You're right, he is good every where, and crazy explosive. What I mean is maybe he could use that awesome striking to set up take downs, like gsp, and they will come easier and he won't have to wear himself out. About the transitions, they are pretty subtle, like, remember how Fedor would throw strikes, seamlessly grab a clinch into a takedown and start throwing hard shots. Seemingly all in one motion. Gsp also goes from striking to grappling in, essentially one motion. That's the last area Aldo has room to really improve on IMO. I think it will keep him fresher at the end of fights if he can blend certain areas of his game up with the other amazing things he does to gain positions.
  6. What Saevel is saying is that someone who lifts weights exclusively, with a full range of motion, will have greater flexibility than someone who does nothing.
  7. I think I finally identified Aldo's relative weakness, while he's good in every area, like you said, something about his transitions from striking to grappling are missing. They seem to be not as seamless as the other top guys. What do you think.
  8. That's what I saying, what if he had to have a kick boxing match with Pettis being injured?
  9. I won't do your research for you, eat what you want.
  10. Well spoken Saevel, there are essential fats and protiens, but no essential carbs.
  11. The way Aldo looked last night, with his broken foot, he's lucky Pettis got hurt.
  12. Eric has a good post about watching an LPGA event in person, and the differences in short game between the two tours. Basically, it said PGA players, for the most part, had a much greater variety of shots around the greens.
  13. If I were you and and it sounds like just starting out, I would focus on movements rather than exercises. By this i mean focusing on a knee dominant movement, like a squat, or hip dominant, like a deadlifts, will force you to do things that are a little more functional in the real world. They also force you to pick the exercises that give the"most bang for your buck". As they work more muscles than isolating everything individually. As far as programming, I would pick a knee dominant, hip dominant, horizontal pressing, horizontal pulling, and vertical pulling exercise every session and do the workout 2 or 3 times a week, rotating exercises. Good luck.
  14. The only guy I've seen do this is chad Campbell, maybe other guys have more examples.
  15. Ok thanks, you're right about the definition of neutral, I see instructors call grips that seem strong to me, neutral, a lot.
  16. Yeah I thought of those two, and Tim Clark, I think. But, I can't think of many more. It seems like a hard way to play golf.
  17. Hey Eric, I know you guys did a ton of research when you were putting together a list of commonalities among the best ball strikers. I'm guessing one of the thing you guys examined was grip. It seems to me that almost no player on the tour uses a really weak grip. I could be completely wrong as I haven't studied the data, but what trends did you guys see regarding strong vs weak grips?
  18. That looked like a clean strike, and it looked like you started it right, so if it drew a little I think you're in business.
  19. I'm glad you stayed with it mike, and I'm glad it's worked out for you. I bet your confidence has improved and even that will help your driving.
  20. Ummm, follow Eric, but I think it might be a stand alone thread, if not that, I think it's in his my swing. If you search, pitch, punch, and Eric's term "pinch" elbow, I think you should be able to find it.
  21. Boston, I think you have a nice looking swing, I am very limited in my ability to give helpful advice. The only comment I would make, and I only notice it because its a flaw that I share, it's seems that in your downswing, the shaft angle is a little steep, Eric had a great picture in a thread that illustrates the optimal elbow position and shaft angle. The only suggestion I could make, I think the cause of it in my swing is a is disconnect between my body rotation and arm swing. That could be the cause of the slices.
  22. I don't know if this exactly relates, but Eric gave me a real good tip on that. I told him a felt like I was spinning my hips too much instead of shifting them and he gave me the image of keeping the left hip pointing to first base longer, for a righty. He also warned me that I could be snapping my left knee too aggressively, so next time I hit balls I'm going to try to calm that down. I only share this with you because I have the same problems with the pushes.
  23. I mean you create a LOT of speed, which is awesome, but what if you thought about maybe giving up ten yards on that wedge, I mean it looks like you have a lot of potential. One thing I've learned around this site, if you watch all of the videos Eric and Mike post, also James, you can answer almost any question you have. I just don't know enough about the swing to give you much more than I did. I do believe If you can think of swinging your wedge a little easier, and saving that hard swing for your driver you may naturally improve your swing. Good luck.
  24. Yeah maybe over swing is the wrong term, he's just so strong, I feel like if he could really become more consistent if he made a more compact motion with his PW.
  25. When I concentrate on keeping my head really steady, i find that it's hard for me to overswing. Maybe just think about making what you feel like is only a 3/4 swing
