  1. lol i'm glad somebody caught it.
  2. I'm in the same boat. If a par 4 is any less than 400 yards (which most are on the courses I play) I'll tee off with the three wood since I know i can get 220+ out of it and leave myself a 5 iron or less to the green. Any longer than that and I'll give it a go with a driver (as long as there isn't any trouble on the right hand side of the hole). I won't even use a driver on a par 5 longer than 500 since I know it'll take me 3 shots to get there with or without a good drive. Just like others have said, I'd much rather be hitting a mid-long iron out of the fairway with a look at the green, than a mid-short iron out of the trees or a fairway bunker.
  3. I'd go with a stand bag. It's way more convenient and versatile than a cart bag. And the new ones have just as many pockets anyways. I currently have a cart bag and I HATE always having to make sure it's standing on a flat surface when I'm loading the car moving the bag around. It's the absolute worst feeling when the bag tips over when you're loading the car and you rush it too worrying that a club head may have snapped off or gotten scuffed from the cement.
  4. Just like others said, drink A LOT of water/gatorade and find as much shade as possible (gives you an excuse for hitting into the trees too lol). Maybe buy one of those small manual misting fans?
  5. 180 yard par 3 - pushed my tee shot right and it landed in the rough about 30 yards from the green. Walked up to my ball to find it about 20 feet behind a 30 foot tree. I couldn't punch it under the tree towards the green because there was a bunker protecting the green from my angle. My playing partner pointed out that I was screwed, so I looked at him and said "Nah, I'll just go over this tree." He looked at me and laughed. So I pulled out my 60 degree and put some extra loft on the club, took about a 75% swing and lofted it over the tree, it then landed just over the bunker on the fringe and trinkled into the cup for a birdie. I think everybody on the course heard my partner scream when he saw it.
  6. maybe spend more time fixing your kids grammer than a strangers on an internet forum...
