  1. about a year ago, i had a similar problem. It was actually during the spring, when i hadn't golfed for awhile. I went to the range, and i felt my swing was fine, but i would chunk all of my iron shots. what helped me was: taking my time, and starting with my wedges, and 9 iron, and working my way up to my 5 and 4 irons. I hit about five decent shots with each club, and then work my way up. my biggest mistake at the range, is going out and trying to kill all of my drives. sometimes, (especially if i am mad at something ) i will go out to the range, and just try to hit every ball as far as i can. That always ends up messing up my swing in the long run; even if i get a few nice crushers.
  2. i have gained the most distance on my drives by: 1.) Taking a nice easy swing; not trying to kill the ball 2.) Making the trajectory have a slight draw, by closing my stance, and hitting the ball on a slight in-to-out swing path. 3.) Getting power from my torso by turning my hips, and trying to not use my arms for power.
  3. i have the same issue... my stroke just is not consistent enough. I used to be able to putt very well, and then my friend told me that i was doing it wrong and tried to change my stroke. ever since then, i have had a difficult time gaining consistency. this past summer, i switched from having my hands like a baseball grip when i putt, to having my left hand under, which definitely helped me regain a little bit of consistency.
