  2. Well, I just received my analysis from James and had a quick look at it. I'm really happy with the analysis and am looking forward to working on the changes. It appears that you (Beachcomber) and I both spotted a couple of things that were out of place, but it looks like we may have been looking at the effects as opposed to the causes. To summarise, James spotted the following faults: Setup: — Stance width needs to be 2-3 inches narrower. — Feet need to be fanned out an additional 20 degrees to allow the knees to move outward. — Shaft needs to lean forward and point towards the left hip (which creates a flat left wrist and bent right wrist). — Arms need to hang outward to create more space between the hands and legs. Backswing: — Elbows need to be closer together (which should hopefully shorten the backswing and prevent the flying right elbow). Apparently my downswing and sequencing needs a lot of work, but the above changes need to be implemented before hand.
  3. You may be right. I still haven't heard anything from the "Evolvr" coaches, but I certainly noticed some things (extended back-swing, flying right elbow, hips/legs dipping at A9, lack of hip extension in the follow-through, etc) I thought may be causing issues.
  4. Excellent. Looking forward to it. Thanks.
  5. Thanks for letting me know. It's been a couple of days, so hopefully they'll get around to it soon.
  6. I'm guessing that signing up for "Evolvr" the week of the PGA Championship may not have been ideal. Any idea when I might get an analysis back?
  7. Clearly, I have too much time on my hands.
  8. Thanks for the response. I have gone ahead and joined "Evolvr" and uploaded my initial videos. After I finished splicing together the swing videos, I started goofing around...
  9. Two questions: 1) Can I edit the original post to add new swing videos? 2) I notice "Evolvr" being mentioned a lot. Would this be beneficial to join for learning "5SK"?
  10. I'll get another swing video uploaded tomorrow. I feel I'm getting the weight forward sufficiently now, the consistency of contact (and misses — which are typically low cuts) has improved. Although I'm no expert, I believe the misses (i.e. low cuts) may be due to the shoulder turn being too shallow and the left shoulder not working downwards correctly (which also seems to make it harder to achieve the flat left wrist).
  11. I only just discovered this (thanks to the OP for sharing). I wish I had enough disposable funds to allow myself to spend similar amounts of time practicing. However, at $11 per 80 balls at the local driving range and not enough funds to buy a large property, I don't like my chances!
  12. Done and done.
  13. I have a couple of questions before purchasing these DVDs. 1) Upon purchase, is there a way to immediately watch the videos online (i.e. via streaming) whilst waiting for the physical DVDs to be delivered? 2) If I purchase through the PureStrike website, after the initial $19.95 payment, what are the remaining payments after 30 days (I can't see this mentioned anywhere on the website)? In other words, what is the total cost going to be?
  14. In my opinion, the physical keys are a great idea. I understand that some players may consider them tacky, but I believe that they would serve as great reminders whilst on the course. Personally, I am guilty of over-analysing and over-complicating things, so it would certainly assist me. Disappointingly, I won't have access to them being located in Australia. Perhaps you could include them with my DVD purchase in good faith?
  15. Cool, thanks for replying. "5 Simple Keys" sounds interesting. I have "The Golfing Machine" book and am familiar with most of the terms. I have also tried "Stack and Tilt" but always felt that I was missing key ingredients (which I couldn't piece together from the DVDs and internet research). I have been curious about "MORAD", but it seemed to be a secret society that was inaccessible (for me, at least). It's funny that you mention that, whilst looking through side-on slow motion videos, I noticed the — for lack of a better description — "bounce and spin" of the hips and legs. I didn't know what was causing it or how to go about fixing it. Thanks for replying. Hanging back on my rear (right) leg has always been a problem for me. I thought I had corrected it, but clearly not. It's amazing how quickly things can regress if you don't stay persistent. Focusing on keeping my weight forward has helped — I'm hitting bullets with my 3 wood (although, I'm struggling with my driver which I'm assuming is due to a steep angle of attack). Thank you, there is still lots of room for improvement though!
