  1. I never tee up with an iron on par threes. I create a very small elevated mound with the blade of my iron and feel no difference between that and a good fairway lie. I'm more used to hitting irons from the turf than from a tee anyway.
  2. Hi cts, sorry, I couldn't see the ball. I noticed you spin round the left heel through the hit by about 30°. I'm not one to over-analyse but its one thing that I find simplifies the swing as it reduces sway and over rotation of the hips and shoulders.
  3. Anyone - barring ZIP - can shoot under par with 14 fitted clubs!
  4. Apart from the fact that he has pirouetted on his left foot! Which means he hasn't maintained his spine angle through impact.
  5. Hi CTS, are you actually hitting a ball in this video? It's hard to tell. If not I would prefer to see your swing with a ball. In other words, the two swings are normally different. Just a thought.
  6. No, he only has to adopt a grip where the two most important fundamentals will be put in place, a bit like Bernhard Langer did to win two Masters titles. I would however have my right arm down the shaft and hold the putter grip against my inner forearm with my left hand. Langer of course had most problems from a twiching/yipping motion that came from his right hand.
  7. I personally think a trip to the tailor would do him no harm!
  8. Good set-up, solid looking swing with good balance, a bit S&T-ish.; I wouldn't change much.
  9. Lochgreen and Darley, Troon.
  10. Sorry, can't see the video. Did you use YouTube? Sounds like you have good hands Davie. BTW where do you play in Scotland?
  11. I carry only three clubs for all shots under 150 yds, a 7&9 iron and a standard SW. I use the SW only when the ball must go high otherwise I use 7&9 iron for everything. I'm not that long but I'm deadly from 150yds and under.
  12. Does the ball tend to start straight or to the right?
  13. Gene Sarazen Gene Sarazen Gene Sarazen Gene Sarazen invented a perfectly good sand wedge which made bunker play much easier. I would love to go back to the thin soled wedge they had in the days prior to this where bunkers were a feared hazard. I would also do away with rakes or any kind of bunker manicuring. 14. I love to hear a more descriptive explanation of that draw you were attempting.
  15. You need to get the two main fundamentals down but most pro's don't even know what these are.
