  1. How often do you guys buy new clubs? I bought a set of medicus hinge irons about two years ago and they are pretty much shot. I take pretty good care off them. I have left them out in the rain over winter but I don't think that would effect them. The grips are crumbly because my pastor threw them in the pool at church and them were down there for like a week because I am not a strong swimmer, although i don't think the water really hurt them, it actually cleaned alot of the dirt out of the grooves. ANYWAY, i went to the range the other day and the hinges were squeaky alot. The distance is still there but would the squeaky effect my GIR? I called the medicus online chat room, but they were no help, just sounded like a fax machine.
  2. Why do golfers always want to say things that don't make sense and make everyone mad in general? For the life of me I won't figure it out. I was playing a half nine the other day with friend who happens to be a girl, but not girlfriend, she is just cool to hang around on. Everytime she hit the ball I could hear her saying to herself - "great golf shot". I tried to splain to her that they are all golf shots except when you are on the green and then they are "putts" or "putt shots". the other one I still don't understand is why they say whole in one. Everytime I hit a putt shot in the hole I always say whole in one. That chic kept telling me that that is only if you hit in in one shot, but I splained to her that everytime you hit it it is one shot. It is impossible to hit one shot more than once. I told her to try it and she couldn't do it so she finally agreed with me. Anyway I am still a noob to the game and she is too, I just really really bad don't want to sound like an indiot when I play with my cousin.
  3. I love these stories. a few months ago I let my girlfriend at the time go golfing with me and my friends. I tried to show her a few things before we started but she was way to dumb to do it right. Before we started I just wanted to hold her head in the dirty water bucket were we clean our shoes forever, not literally. I give her some credit because she was trying to fit in with the guys, but it was pissing me the hell off. She insisted on burping and farting real loud like the other guys were. It was some of the grossest toxic plasma I ever smelled, every time I was freaking putting for birdie or eagle! I think she must have let more than gas go too, because on the ride home she smelled like your fingers smell after you eat french fries and get ketchup on your fingers and like it off but you forget to wash your hands. Sure enough on the last hole I was putting to win the whole match and the whole time I was thinking here it comes, here it comes. I waited forever and sure enough when I started my putting swing she ripped out the worst of the day like she was trying to blast off to mt. rushmore, and her big butt was about 2 inches away from my face. Also she kept denting the greens when she walked on them, it was like trying to putt on mt. rushmore. The worst part was I had to go on disability from my job that I interviewed for, because when she sat in the cart it put so much pressure on the suspension it pulled the front wheels about 90 degrees to her side, so I spent the whole day burning out my pecs trying to drive the cart. Dont ever play with her, don't want to mention her name because she ended up marrying my dad for a while.
  4. Since you played since you were 5, to be real, I don't think you should have a problem. I think a lot of those older guys started when they were like 4 or 4.5 years old, so they might have a better short game. We did a party last week to get my uncle to sign up for that tour, after about 12 beers he agreed to do it, then he started drinking beer also. But when they faxed him the application, they were asking to many personal questions, so he filled it out no problem with my aunts credit card and social security number. It pisses me off a little, because I think he is just doing it to get one of those oversized golf bags they use, when his spot could go to someone like you who actually likes to play. He is alos telling all the girls at the cheese sandwich factory that he is on the tour. I want to prove it to her that he isn't but i don't think there is anyway to find out for sure.

    Cialis help?

We were watching the tournament on tv today and I want to get some cialis. I see the add all the time and it looks cool. I also seen the ad in a golf magazine at the book store. I now it is mainly for "boners" but I don't really need it for that. I like the cool stuff in the commercials where the guy goes dancing with a woman and at first he doesn't want to dance, but then he kinda gets the hang of it. Another one has the guy fixing a boat and then some lady gives him a hug and then they kinda slow dance a little. Probably the one I want the most is where a lady is cooking and a man walks in the door and they each smile at the other, I think because she is fixing something he likes (I like meatloaf with halapeno peppers in it). Other than those can it help out on golf? I assume it does, because there are always stories in it in the golf magazines and tv commercials for golfers, I think Al Guyburger was one of the men in one of the commercials. I sent my doctor an email but she hasn't responded yet. I have been trying to do some research online but I don't have any internet service right now.
  6. Yes, this is basically a great idea. I used to play alone all the time. But I never would now, especialy if it was like a bacelor party or my birthday. The course I play at is pretty much dark or dusklike all the time, and it is very uncomortable because right behind the parking lot is a huge graveyard. I don't believe in that stuff, but one night when I was playing with myself I swear to you that I saw some type of phantasm or disembodied spirit.

    Dunlap Balls

I don't think Big-Oh has anything to do with the flyers. Plus I haven't spoke to my uncle sinse Big-Oh "laid him off" after he helped me return the C- Driver.

    Dunlap Balls

I am sure I am not the only who has been getting annoying spam trying to unload some dunlap "ballz". I am on the national don't call me list but for some reason I still find flyers on my windshield at kmart and at the church/chiropractors office. Not a fan of that type of marketing, but I thought it was erotic that they are trying to sell low end balls at the highest end church within 10 miles. Are these just some dunlop knock offs? I thought prolly somebody here has tried them or might work for them. How do they preform in "real life"?
  9. Don't worry about seeing that driver on ebay anytime soon. We went back up their with my uncle and we insisted a little harder at them to take it back, not threating at all, but my uncle is nobody to be messed with and I am sure they "got it". They said they would take it back and they only charged him a $10 restocking fee (they said it was normally like $20). I actually kinda liked it, does anyone know where I could pick a 13 C- or a C?
  10. I was playing with my cousin the other day at Dear Creek. I have always had problems with golf shoes, I hate them severly. Now i just wear basketball shoes or crocs. After the first nine I went into the bathroom (needed to release the six beers from the front nine). I didn't notice at the time but when I came out of the bathroom I had put my shoes on the wrong feet. I finished the round up with ABSOLUTELY no feet pain for the first time in years. I want to wear them like that again but I don't want to look like a total idiot infront of my cousin. Does anyone know of any brand of shoe that looks the same no matter what foot you wear it on. My wife said her white keds did, but I went to the store and they didnt have a 13.
  11. I bascially agree 100%. I don't understand how people can go to the course and play slow like they are Tiger Woods putting for some type of championship. I think the courses should just kick out the slow people or maybe set up a different course where they can play as slow as they want, and just stand their and stare at each other. Prolly wouldn't even help. Also, I just read the first sentence of your post. I plan on reading the rest on my lunch break.
  12. I actualy won two tee times there about a year ago. My aunt and me were in a local golf talent show and took third. We did the Dorf routine minus the dumb kneeling on your shoes business. It was a pretty hard bummer because when we went to play the course was closed down. It really pissed us off to because we could see people out there playing. My aunt let them have it, because she is the type that does not take anything, especially bs about us showing up on the wrong day. Also, not sure sure if it is the same course, but it sounds like it from your description.
  13. My cousin (not legally but we are basically family) just dropped a few bucks on the new Dunlop 13 C- driver. He is a hellova golfer but he gets scammed real eazy. He was a Big-Oh the other day and pick up a couple wide-body Appalachian Ridge tires for his Geep and they offered to throw in the new Dunlop 13 C-, no strings attached. He took the bait (yeah, I know), but when he went to the range he instantly lost about 1-2 yards of his tee shot. Needless to say, he was pissed out of his mind and tried to return it. But they would take it back since it was free and because they said they didn't have enough room for it. So he is probably going to pop it up on ebay, so beware, cause it would most likely reduce your total driving statistic.
  14. Your story was amusing on the first read, but after I read it a few more times I found some problems with the so-called "event". 1. Who lives in a shed and still plays golf. Seems like you would being spending more time trying to get out of the shed. So "no-go" there. 2. Mice live in houses. If they are outside or in a shed they are called rats. But since that was your house I am not shure what they are called. But I WAS entertained by your story and I plan on sharing it as one of my own the next time I go to the mall as long as I have your permission.
  15. I think most golf shoes are terrible because of the stiffness, weight and rigidity, but they look nice. I just ordered a pair of True Shoes and I am pretty excited to try them out. Anybody else have a pair?
  16. Does anyone else use the Swing Speed Radar? I bought it from amazon a few weeks ago to do some training. I just want to see if anyone thinks it is accurate. After I get warmed up I can hit 120+ about 1 out of every 5 swings. It seems like my average is about 115-116. Also, I don't hit a ball, I just swing. The thing is, I wanted to see how accurate it was so I took it to Golf Galaxy and they let me hit it on their sim. While hitting balls, the swing speed radar was anywhere from 0 to 12 mph faster than their measurements (my average on their equipment was about 106). So I am wondering if my $100 radar is inaccurate or their equipment is inaccurate. I think I know the answer, but I wanted to see if anyone else has used it.
  17. 203g for the head or total club? If it was for the head, what was your total club weight?
  18. It also feels a little heavy. Anybody know what the weight difference is between the Adams 9064ld head and a standard head?
  19. Here is a picture of the driver ( on the right ) http://golfweek.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com/img/croppedphotos/2010/09/07/adams-speedline-drivers-golf_t640.jpg?a6ea3ebd4438a44b86d2e9c39ecf7613005fe067
  20. I started playing golf after an almost 20 year layoff back in 2010. I went to the range and hit my old driver, a Yonex ADX 300, and it seemed to launch way too high. I decided to upgrade and I wanted a club with a very low loft. I went to ebay and bought an Adams long drive head because I couldn't find anything in stores with a super low loft. The loft is 6.5 degrees. I had a stiff shaft put in at golf galaxy. My question is: Does the long drive head take away distance? I think I remember someone saying the faces were thicker and gave less, because the long drivers would destroy them otherwise. I hit the driver pretty good, but I am definitely not a long driver. My swing speed is between 105-110. I can carry it about 265-270. I just want to know if I can get more distance from a traditional head. Also, the launch angle seems to be fine with a good high launch.
