I agree with you Dent,but always looking to improve and shave strokes is why I am asking about the cavity backs.Would you give up blades for cavity backs,just dont want to regret my chose

No I never shape shot just staight away well most of the time,where I noticed a huge difference is when I hit a ball really fat because of a side hill lie or just a screw up it does not go any where and seems like the more mass of the cavity back will do better even if it is hit fat,straighter and a little farther.It may just be me

I play with maxfli a10 blades right now and do OK with them,would a good set of cavity back clubs help me or should I just keep with what I have now.I have about a 10 to 15 handicap depending on where I play.What I have noticed is the people I play with all use them and even if they dont make good contact it still is better than mine with the same bad contact

I have this driver and like it very much,I can hit it pretty long and straight,also it has a nice sound to it when you get a good solid hit

Yea I know it's cheating a little,so I am going to just wait until I can get one for real.I have saved the score cards for my last 2 rounds so all I have left is 3 more rounds to turn them in to get one anyway so I am going to do the right thing.Thanks for changing my mind I probably would have screwed it up anyhow

Yes I did,back when I was in my teens I was very good and it's all starting to come back to me.I guess I am lucky or whatever but I have a pretty natural swing that helps a lot,and I practice everyday in my yard.Listen I have nothing to prove to any of you guys because I will probably never have the pleasure of playing with any of you,that being said I dont get on here to lie to you so believe me or not I could care less but some people are just better at it than others.My brother has been playing for about 6 years and is pretty good and it kills him because I just picked it back up (from his coaxing) and can already beat him on a regular basis SORRY DENT.......

OK I will just wait and play the rounds first,I played 18 today and by the way I shot a 75 which I am very proud of,par for my course is 70.Should I save all my cards and turn them in at the same time or give them to them as I play them

How do you get a GHIN number from your course,what I was thinking of doing is to get 5 scorecards from my club next time and fill them out as honest as I can and tell them I have been saving them up and turn them in.Like I said I will fill them out right,I guess I would still be kinda cheating but I really have gotten back in to golf with a passion and would love to play in some of these torneys........Has anyone ever done this or am I just stupid

I have been golfing since the beginning of this year,used to golf when I was younger but never got a handicap.I know about what mine would be but dont have one established yet,was wondering if someone could tell me how to get one without playing 5-18 hole rounds without cheating myself or others.My course has several torneys and scrambles coming up sooner than I could play that many rounds.No intentions to sandbag or cheat in any way.........

It just proves what everyone should have figured out by now he's only human and can have a bad couple of days just like you and I.The media has him so high on a pedastile when he dont win we get threads just like this one,the only thing I did not like about the outcome of the tournament is an AMERICAN did'nt win it,not prejudice just patriotic........just shows you that there are good golfers all over the world huh.

So do you think a 60* would be the way to go I have practiced with my PW every day for a long time and have pretty good luck with it,the shorter shots like between 20 yards out to about 50 is what I am looking for to get the ball in the air to make it stop on the green.The course I play on the greens are like concrete if you dont get it high it will not check up hardly at all

I am still in the process of getting a handicap but from the looks of my rounds so far it going to be anywhere from 10 to 15 just a guess.This is what I normally shot over par for now,hoping to get better before summers end.

I have always just used a PW but am starting to think maybe about a lob wedge or a approach wedge,does anyone have any suggestions and is it really something that you use quite a bit.I have heard it both ways to buy or not to buy

Well its about time I bought me a decent putter I think so what do you guys recommend getting.I used a buddy of mines white hot 2 ball and liked it pretty well it sure makes the ball roll nice.Do you guys have any suggestions or preferences

What I am have the most trouble with is my medium to short irons,my distance is pretty good but right to left is a freaking nightmare once one way then the other.Hitting the green has become a real issue for me any where from 75 to 150 yards.I dont expect to hit them all I am not there yet but this is really a problem that is killing my score

I am right handed to start with,on your backswing dont you keep your left arm perfectly straight.If I try this I can not keep my eyes on the ball,and is this a problem or is it just the way it is.

How or what do you guys do to get those bad blow up holes out of you head and not let them ruin the next 3 or 4 holes,or maybe the rest of your game.I went yesterday with a guy that I have never been with before we work together and have been kinda going back and forth about who was going to kick whos a$$ (just friendly)for about a month.So through the first 7 holes I had him down 2.number 8 tee box is where it all went wrong on me, shot a 8 on a par 4 and 9 was a par 3 and i shot a 6,you see where I am going with this,I lost,94 to 90.Just wondering if there is something that you use to put it behind you and it works

I bought some Nike sp-3 white with the black saddle,I will let you guys know how comfy they are this weekend.They where only 60 bucks,I did not want to spend much over that on shoes so we will see how they work out.Thanks for all the replies you guys are a great resource of knowlege

What kind of shoes do you guys wear,looking for comfort mostly.And where is the best place to get them

Man you guys are alot of help.I have been playing in really wet and sloppy conditions and have been lifting and cleaning the ball and just dropping it back down back from green as close to the divot as possible without it going back in it.I never advance the ball towards the green as it would not make any difference anyway
