  1. Good deal on the mp33's bro, you should like them. Old wilson blades are good too. Wilson staff fluid feel.
  2. I couldn't disagree with this statement more. I feel the exact opposite in the case of irons. Graphite I agree but with iron shafts, the weaker the shaft the worse off IMO. To me there is nothing worse then an iron shaft that is too weak.
  3. That IS the feeling, almost like nothing and the results are what you envisioned before you hit the ball. Welcome to the wonderful world of forged blades.
  4. I hate them. I think they feel 'hollow' and I highly doubt the pro's use the same wedge we pay $50 for or whatever it is. I also think the 588's have way too much bounce on them. You get what you pay for and although I never thought I could tell the difference between cast and forged wedges, the 588 made that possible for me. 588 has scared me enough against cast wedges that I am worried I may not even like the vokey's which are cast...Can anyone compare vokey's vs. 588? Who knows? Maybe I got a bad 588 I just HATE the feel.
  5. Yea it was those it is probably just the design of them that made the face height look taller then normal blades. I like the looks of those new Nike blades the best I think.
  6. Anyone have these? Phil playing them today they really looked tall(face height) from behind. Weird.
  7. Check it, these are on sale-$29 at edwin watts and other fine retailers as well. fyi Great balls! I keep going back to them from others and play better with these.
  8. Thanks Rich. :)
  9. millers problem is sheer stupidity and you can't hide stupidity. especially being on tv. hes just not smart. bottom line.
  10. Johnny 'the idiot' Miller dumb quote of the ryder cup... 'he really needs to go home and work on his swing' -talking about Padraig Harrington, player of the year, british open and pga champ this year and has earned 4.3 million in 2008. Thanks for the tip Johnny.
  11. s300 and x100's rock the house for sure! only reason id like to try project x's is because i hear they are very accurate. any truth to that?
  12. Well why do you think that would be fraser? You think were freaking happy about it? Lets go back to the UK vs. US and see what happens.
  13. I think forged irons from 20-30 years ago were MUCH softer then today. Some current forged irons I play feel like cast metal to me. Its probably in my head but when you hit a mid 80s Wilson staff there is not much like it. SO buttery.
  14. Got it today, decent shape. Hit it at lunch, hooked everything possibly because the weights are reversed or possibly because of the closed face at address... Anyone know where I can borrow the wrench to swap these back to stock? I'd like to try it standard and see how the results are then.
  15. I have Wilson Staffs from the mid 80s and they are killer still to today. I have my friends hit them on the course and they can't believe how soft they are when you strike them flush. Older forged irons are MUCH softer IMHO.
  16. I couldnt agree more. He is a genius.
  17. Good stuff bro. I see lots of good things but here are the bad things: tempo- slow down a bit especially at the top. tug- don't tug the club down from the top. let your powerful lower body start the move. Thats about it! A good drill for you maybe hitting some balls with just your right hand. It will improve your tempo a ton and probably keep you from pulling at the top. Start the downswing with the butt end of the shaft, not the clubhead. Thinking about the butt end of the shaft will help you get in the slot better too and not come over the top or get 'stuck'.
  18. Be firm! Shorter backswing and slower tempo, good contact and loooonnnnger follow through.
  19. lefty39, great choice on the scotty napa. Check out the YES Sophia, you may like it alot and youll actually be able to afford it moreso then the napa.... :) I think I got my Sophia on ebay for 70ish, used and MINT. Also came with a killer gripmaster leather grip. Sometimes ebay is the best for stuff like this.
  20. For me results gave me most of what I needed to know as well as tendencies and the driving range mat marks on my soles too. Green mat marks towards the toe mean you need to adjust them more upright, the heel marks mean adjust them flatter. Pushing your irons generally you should go upright, pulling go back flatter.... Lofts, generally speaking of course...tendencies. I hit huge HIGH power fades so I went a bit stronger on lofts. Get out there and play more and youll start realizing what needs to be tweaked.
  21. US will get destroyed.
  22. Im getting it Monday, Ill let yall know how I hit it. thanks for all the comments.
  23. I don't think so. Some have me near 110mph driver speed. Some have me near 100mph. I just don't think the whole, speed=particular distance is right. I CONSISTENTLY hit my drives 270-300 without even stressing, could this be realistic with 100mph clubhead speed? It's just all very baffling and I think clubhead speed is given WAY more validation then I think is needed. Balls, shafts, club head lofts...many are based on clubhead speed. Im just confused. ha
  24. Never hit one before. Comparable completed ebay prices are all OVER what I paid. Only a few were cheaper and they were beatup. As far as flex, I use a stiff plaunch blue now and part of the reason I bid on this is because I know this shaft already and I really wanted the nice high launch but stiffer then my current flex. These plaunch blues play VERY soft IMO.
  25. 79+12 shipping=$90ish total. 9.5 used -prolaunch blue xstiff...?
