I've used the 10 finger baseball grip all last year I shot some great rounds but this year I switched back to the interlocking. I feel I have more control of the ball and my hands feel more as one single unit rather than two singles fighting for control. I esp feel my short game has improved about 5 strokes and I'm compressing the ball better with my irons.

I go back and forth with the bridgestone e6's and the b330rx's. I am a 15.8 handicap and what I've found is the e6 has a hard hit, it has a hard feeling hit All around, it flies very straight, and with the irons it rolls forward a little except with the wedges. The rx ball is my favorite and this weekend I was reminded Of this fact. The rx is great off the driver, has a softer feel compared to e6, and with the irons the ball will either hit and stick or sometimes it will draw back a little. I love the feel off the putter too. Played loch nair for the first time last wkd and I hadn't swung a club in about 4 weeks. Shot a 97 with the e6, switched balls And shot an 85 with the rx. Quite a few pars and 3 birdies. Def try the rx yes they are a little pricey but if your winning friendly wagers they are def worth it.

I forgot to add, I chipped in a shot from 140 yards pitching wedge on a par 4 for my first Eagle ever. Yes lucky hit the green rolled about 4" and in the cup. Regardless of who knocks this grip my accuracy has improved tremendously.

Ok an update on the 10 finger grip.... It's been 3 mos and I've been using this new grip every round and I have to say I have seen a huge improvement in my game. Drives are straighter than ever and no more hook or snap hook like I had with my interlocking strong grip. My scores have been between 80-95 the last 10 rounds and my avg is a 90-93. A lot of that is short game stuff I need to work on. I tried to go back and mess around with the interlock and I was all over with the baseball grip my direction control is very consistent with the occasional pull, but not bad at all. I noticed with this grip it works best for me when I keep both thumbs place on the front of the shaft kind of in a neutral position. Hit em' straight and try it out you may like it.

I agree with the playing the same ball idea, I've been back and forth over the years between pro v1's b330rx, and the e6.... Yes it's true the e6 will always be in my bag and the ball of choice for several reasons #1- you can't beat the price for the ball you are getting 2- my worst shots are almost always playable and not lost 3- I can hit this ball straighter than any other ball I have ever hit, and I do get great distance off the tee. Once you play a few rounds with this ball you get used to the low spin and adjust, but I still can stop it on the greens pretty close to where I hit. I do not recommend this ball to anyone because I don't want everyone buying these and raising the cost for me. Hit em' straight!!!

Ok after about 7-8 rounds with scores ranging from 80-95, I had my first really ba round with the baseball grip Shot a 45 on the front 9, and the back 9 I was doing fine and all of the sudden I shanked a ball, and I shanked 2 shots in a row, than it was over But by this point it was in my head... Shot over 100 With 2 really bad holes but my adjusted score Because I'm a 17 handicap was a 95 still ok. I'm not sure why I was shanking it had to be hitting The hosel or close to the heel. A couple of shanks were Out of the deep rough and 1 the ball was above my feet. I'm still hitting the ball overall better than I've ever Hit it, so I'm going to keep using the 10 finger grip for While I will report back soon

I guess I use a modified 10 finger grip as well not really a "baseball grip", which I've never tried that. I have all 8 fingers on the shaft the traditional way as Ben hogan teaches in 5 fundamentals of golf (left hand) ,but I keep both thumbs directly on top of the shaft or sometimes vary the right thumb just off to side wherever it ends up as I try and relax both hands and feel tension free.

I was an interlock player since I started over 12 years ago. 16 handicap end of last year and went up to a 20.5 this year, due to my driver being all over the place and inconsistent iron play. I searched how to hit the driver straight and Moe Norman came up, started reading about how he was known for hitting some of the straightest shots in golf, and his baseball grip. Intrigued I headed right for the range tried it out and 90% of my shots were straighter than any before. Had to try it out on the course, first time out I shot a 90, 91, and my all time record low 80. My handicap has dropped to 18, and I believe it will keep dropping. The good... I love the control much better than interlock grip, and it just feels more natural. I can feel the club head much better. Driver is very straight and wedges are deadly accurate, irons in general are more consistent and straighter. Distance is better esp when I draw the ball which happens more now with the new grip. The bad, any tension in hands can make for a terrible shot but no worse than interlock IMO. Must always keep right hand pushed up against the left if not hands can separate and try and fight for control. Highest round so far w/ bb grip 95, lowest rd 80. I can live with it and as far as all the bs about women,small hands, jnrs,etc... That's the general public going with the numbers. I agree that most pros don't use it but how many of us are pros, bottom line I've had the most fun with this grip because I've played my best golf with it and that's what we're all striving for, isn't it? Supposedly shipsticks gets a better rate than fed ex because they ship in such bulk.

Hey just wondering if anyone can give me any info on shipping my golf clubs I was going to use shipsticks.com seems reasonable, wondering if its guaranteed and smarter than bringing them to the airline. They come right to my front door and ppick them up and they offer insurance. Any experiences I'd love to here them good or bad, thx

I just read an awesome book, first golf book with no pics and it has done wonders for my putting and chipping. Recently read a few books on chipping and was led to believe my technique was the issue but after reading "putting out of your mind", I must admit I have been making more putts than I've ever made before and I'm using the same technique just a different attitude and mental approach. You can find this book on eBay for under $7 or $8, which is a lot less $$$ than I've lost on clutch putts. Just wanted to share my thoughts with others looking to lower your scores, also miraculously applying the same technique for chipping, my chipping is so much easier now. Hitem' straight!

Just curious how did your chipping the Stockton way work out? Very similar to pelz.

After careful consideration, I have to say Stan utley's technique, to me anyway is very easy to repeat and I've had much more success in chipping than the extreme hinging that Phil seems to use. I feel the more you hinge on the backswing the more natural on the follow through your left hand wants to release. With a slight hinge, and an easy pivot my results have been very accurate and consistent. Now to see if the mat and the grass/dirt yield similar results?
