1. Since we already have a WITB thread, why not start a thread for your Golf Course Pics ? What Say ?
2. Try out used TaylormAde or Callaway irons instead of new wilsons
3. Didnt lose :) my partner played par :) it was hot at 92 with 50% humidity also. Stable ford :) Edel isn't available here. Did try a scotty and Was blown over but at appx $450 out of my range.
4. 45 par 35 9 holes 22 putts
5. Lol I just played 9 this morning for a 10 over 45 with ..................22 putts....... :( well it was a 4 ball so am accounting the bad putting to pressure
6. Exactly what I did
Great job. You see, even putting to the normal bogey level (32 to 36) does not take a lot of rocket science, just the right mental state. ;-)
Yup, but let's not jinx it yet. Will be posting my driver and 3 wood and iron swing videos soon. Hopefully today :)
7. Monday 94 on a par 70 Tuesday 88 on a par 70
8. Thank you all. Last 2 weeks I tried smthing different. Did not practice putting, played a round on Monday and broke 95 with 40 putts. Played again on Tuesday and had a lovely 88... Total putts Monday 40 and Tuesday 35. Did miss a couple of 3-5 footers. When I was practising it used to put doubts in my mind when I played. Last 2 rounds I putted tension free and Tuesday had 6 par's ans 1 birdie. Thanks all
9. I have it in black pearl. Will post a pic later today
10. I tried several sets before I bought Taylormade rbz hp steel stiff irons 4-sw. The pw is 45 deg and sw is 55 deg. From the previous set I am using a Wilson staff 58 deg. A new Cleveland 588 rtx 52 deg. (Sw coming out of the bag) a Tm super tri stiff shaft r9 driver a Callaway big Bertha 3 wood and a Tm white smoke putter
11. so the pw in my set is a 45 and the sw is a 55. i had a 58 wilson staff wedge from my old set and in order to fill the gap i ordered a 50 deg rtx588 wedge but got a 52 instead ... well that works i can just remove the 55 sand and have even gaps. so i put the 52 into play yesterday and wow wow wow.. the club feels solid. even at my skill level and using a dt solo or an ad333 the ball was checking and taking a small skip and stopping on 3/4 and full shots. now i have never been able to make the ball check with my wedges but this 52 it just falls and stays there may it be from the first cut or the fairway. . very impressed.. 2 thumbs up.
12. Lol general playing conditions and if your putting is like mine you use it 50 times a round for a score of 95
13. What is 1 club you will use every hole ? Putter...... I vote a new putter n used /traded in irons or discontinued irons.
14. the 2nd putt lips put rite next to the hole max od a foot away and is a tap in ... i have read several things eric and others posted. i tried the theory of " dont leave it short, 12 inches short is worse than 2 feet away and that didnt work at all for me at all since i was going 3 feet pats the hole and 3 footers are a PAIN for me ....my hands literally start shaking .... as for coffee / espresso... 110 - 115 outside with a real feel of 120 ... not having coffee at all
15. mostly lipping em out or just missing the hole by maybe 1/2 a rotation
16. all great advice but the issue seems to bt stress for me . today i spent an hour on the practise green. 20 mins for 5 feet putts. 20 mins for 10-12 feet putts and 20 mins for 20 footers for a 2 putt. it all worked beautifully. then i decided it was time to hit the course for a quick round of 9. and bam..... it all went to the dogs..... missing 2-3 footers for par and bogie,,, had 2 pars the entire round ... and hit 23 putts ... :( i need to get rid of the stress when playing the round .... i guess the 11 on the first hole par 5 also led to my frustration ...1st stroke OB, teed up for 3rd... ob... tee up for 5th just missed ob ..... total score for 9 holes including the 11 ... 53
17. Yup i am and yes it is :) i wanna get down to 36 putts a round... i can be shooting mid 80's but the distance control advice i will practise along with the other....
18. DISTANCE DISTANCE DISTANCE. but will work on it. i do get fired up on mussing easy putts esp when its for par or birdie..... the thing i did different this round was just minimize the time over the ball(55 putts to 45). read the green / break, get on the ball align, aim and putt, the longer i stand over the ball the more still nervous etc i get .... just the same thing as in the bolded part. will practise some distance control today and maybe play another round... time and weather permitting.
19. Thanks, after recording i did notice the tilting on the long putt at hole no 9 .... will keep this in mind ...
20. Thanks :) will keep that in mind. Point 3, lining up for what hole ? 8,9,10 or 11 ?
21. Thanks, distance i know is an issue for me. As for the time thing,,,, couple of things,.... the filming started after the practise swings and lining up the ball with the line I wanted. but thanks :)
