  1. Any thoughts on the r9 super tri with a stiff shaft
  2. Unfortunately here in india the market isn't that developed n they come as regular sets all you can customize is lie ans shaft stiffness. Moreover I am not a hybrid fan :) but the 10 deg gap is worrying
  3. Tried out the rbz, rocketblades, x hot and covert vr_s Rbz steel stiff shaft it is. Tried out a couple of drivers. Xhot, r9, r11, rbz and stage 2. I sucked at all of em but r9 was the best. Sold my current set and ordered the rbz. Now begins the wait. What are your suggestions on drivers ? Also the rbz comes with pw at 45 deg and sw at 55 deg. Is that too big a gap ?
  4. Assuming you cant get fitted and the stores just give you a 6 iron to test .... where would you test ? Range or the course?
  5. I use pro v1 and v1x when I find them cheap. Barely used (one shot wonders) ones can be bought for abt rs 40-50 a pop from caddies . That is less than $1per ball.
  6. Any views on nike covert vr_s
  7. So I checked out the clubs on the course. Regular flex steel shafts and it was SLICE HEAVEN. Hitting with my regular clubs the ball was straight. Any clue why ? Could it be that I need to try out a stiff shaft ?
  8. I do have a driver n fairway in my current set but the shaft is toooo flexible and I always slice the ball. I have tried other drivers and fairways and hit it reasonably well. With the current irons on a perfect tee shot the 5 iron goes a good 200+ and straight
  9. Yet again on the hunt for new clubs. I play once a week shoot mid 90's.I have shortlisted the taylormade rbz hp 4- sw and callaway xhot 4-sw. I don't use a driver, woods or a hybrid. Which one would you recommend ? The tm is abt $150 cheaper (on sale)
  10. Played the first month without golf shoes, the grass used to be wet, kept slipping n sliding and feet were wet. Bought a pair and havent been happier
  11. 5 - sw putter 8 clubs total every time
  12. When measuring shaft length is there a standard ? I.e. measured from butt of shaft till where tge shaft meets tge club face / hosel or from the butt till the heel ? Thanks
  13. Exactly Ap1 710 come in 3-pw
  14. Online info states ping 5i is 37.5 , on physical inspection it is longer than my 5i and my 5 i measures 38 butt to heel
  15. I ask coz a buddy got ping black dot g25 graphite irons an when i put his 5i against mine it was abt an inch and a half longer, measured mine at home, butttill sole it said 38 inches and ping's site says black dot is 37.25 , my measurement butt to hosel is 35.5, a lil confused
  16. Quick question. When measuring shaft lenght is it measured till where the shaft meets the hosel or till the sole of the club ?
  17. Today after a long while i played alone, and my scores were remarkably better, first 6 holes i had 6 gir's and pars, major blow up on 7 , 3 over, 8 was a double and 9 was a bogie, it by fas has been my lowest score 6 over in 9 holes, some how i have noticed when i play alone i shoot a better score, has anyone else experienced this ?
  18. Played 9 today, missed a hole in one by less than a foot, for a 7 over 42, this is a par 70 course i play
  19. I'm having fun but putting is driving me insane , i am either leaving it short or hitting the wrong line , i need putting drills to improve putting accuracy
  20. Finally i broke into the 90's. consistently played for 6-7 weeks in the 93-97 range an now.... Putting has gone to hell. On the green in 2, sitting for a birdie and bam, bogie. If i get the line i dont get the distance / speed, if i get the speed / distance i dont get the line. Earlier it was 2 putts max maybe a couple of 3 putts, now, ugh, 3-4 putts every hole, maybe one 2 putt. HELP please
