  1. I sincerely apologize. Honestly your swing looked great. If that's your normal swing and your ball striking is good, concentrate more on your short game.Me personally, and you could figure this from my post, its the mental aspect that I need work out. LOL. Best of luck.
  2. I apologize. He just came off as a lil arrogant, and needing his ego stroked, not as someone genuinely wanting some advice.
  3. Dude, why would you post a video of yourself hitting a 4 iron from 215 yards to 10 ft, and ask for people to help you with your swing? Here's a tip, if you really want help with your swing, post a video of one of your bad swings, because it would take someone more full of themselves than you to actually give you any advice. Me being a 12 handicapper and all, im not an expert, but if I had to find a flaw it would be that you held your finish way to long. 215yds to 10' you should not hold the finish, you should immediately walk it down like Tiger does. Just messing with ya, dont get to p/o'ed at me.
  4. Thats crazy. Would love to see that in person. There have been some days that I couldnt have putted any worse even if I was using a 7 iron, but why would he not even carry a putter?
  5. I would not say it is common, someone else on here may know some statistics on the subject. I have personally played with guy that played this way. I play left handed and since he already gripped the club the same way I do I asked him to try and swing one of my clubs. After we hit our tee shots on a par 3 he grabbed my 7 iron and completly missed the golf ball 3 times and handed the club back to me and said '' I dont know how in the hell you can play like that''. Im not sure what his handicap is but on that day he played as well as I did. One thing I did notice was that he had an extremely high ball flight.
  6. Agreed. I once made the mistake of telling everyone on the tee box that hitting driver is the easiest part of golf, and that I could do it blind folded. At the time I truley believed that that I could. Thats been several months ago and I have struggled ever since. David in FL you should give golf lessons, charge $75 an hour, give them a bucket of balls and tell them to ''never under any circumstances never say out loud that you ''get'' anything in this silly game.''
  7. Indeed. It is the ''These guys are good'' comercial. I enjoy watching Keegan. Whatever it takes for a man to play great golf, by all means do what you gotta do brother.
  8. I cant believe you guys are hating on Keegan. One of my favs, that rascals intense.
  9. I am a 12 handicap. In my opinion, if you have a low handicap buddy, the best option for any serious competition or wagering, find 2 guys like yourselves and duke it out. As far as tournaments, screw handicaps, if you dont shoot the lowest round''s'', you're not the winner, and if you can convince yourself otherwise and feel good about it, then you do not have a concious. I have not played in my club championship in the 2 yrs ive been playing, and wont until i feel like I can give a go without turning a handicap. I started to play last year just for the experience, but had other obligations.Im going to try to play in this years, but I refuse to turn in a handicap as far as that goes. I mean you get a parking spot with your name on it as ''club champion''. But he had 12 strokes, who wants that? Not me, pal.
  10. Excuse my grammer. Drinking in South Carolina nuff said
  11. Im not telling, my wife may find this forum. Hadnt you seen how facebook gets folks in trouble.
  12. You shouldnt have any problem with that. Its nearly impossible to be anywhere in South Carolina and not be 30 minutes from a golf course. I live in Florence S.C. and there has to be at least 8 golf courses inside of 30 min. Im an hour from the coast and the closer you get to the coast the more courses there are.
  13. I think the problem with driver that I created for myself, was that I never hit it on the range when I was working on my irons so hard. My thought was if it aint broke dont fix it. The swing I had that could pound a driver was not the swing that hits down and compresses a 7 iron, a hybrid, or even a 3 or 5 wood off the deck or teed low. I will however work on hitting driver again, and im sure it will lower my handicap when I get it figured out, but the time ive spent without it, has made me alot more rounded player.
  14. Hi everyone.I just joined and this is my first post. Next month will make 2 years ive been smoking this crack we call golf. Ive only been playing 2 yrs, but ive played at least 3 times a week pretty much since day 1. With all that being said, I recently played w/o driver for about a month, and it has helped my game. When I first started playing, driver was the only club I could hit, and I mean hit a mile.(im sure thats what got me hooked on this game). My home course has a lot of shortish par 4's, 330yds or so, but all the par 5's are tough, ''on in 2'' on them around there is a rumor. In the beginning I could hit driver way down there in front the greens, and then commence to butcher the hole up from there. At the time I was worst iron player on the planet, ive since worked my butt off and am now a better iron player. Somewhere along the way Iost alot of distance with my driver and worst than that I developed the hooks with it and lety me tell ya fear the hook and you'll slice. So took it out the bag so I wouldnt be tempted to hit it and since ive shot lower scores alot more often. Haha, but as a true golf addict I do have a new driver on the way.
