Par 5 2nd @ Rend lake golf course Driver to fairway and then a beautiful 5 wood to the center of the green (forget about the 3 put par)

I have never had a lesson ( like my handicap don't show that) and i was just wondering how much money do you spend on lessons each year if any at all. Do you take them throughout the year or just at the beginning of every season. Would one lesson do any good or should I take them all year, say once every month skip a round and get lessons. Or play four rounds get a lesson before the next four. Seeing how they cost about the same.

Absolutely horrid putting today 7 -3 puts 8 -2 puts 3 -1 puts. Had a glimmer of hope on #2 par 5 527 ,driver ,5 wood 3 put par and then the work began#3 par 4 421 3 wood to 150 PW 3 put bogey #4 156 par 3 PW GIR 3 put bogey. #9 driver chip out of woods with 5 iron left side of fair way needed to hit a little hooded 7 to stay low, well i stayed low enough to hit a yardage post them PW to green 2 put. So far for the front its 13 puts 3 Fairways 2 GIR and 1 UGIR = 47 OK back side # 12 (brace you're self) 166 par 3 some how avoided the water with a good bounce got a hard Pan lie and chunked it in to the water, drop, pitch and HEY another 3 put 7 +4. Add another 3 put double bogey on 18 and that makes it 50 puts 3 Fairways 4 GIR 1 UGIR all that equals an astonishing 97 THANK YOU VERY MUCH (for nothing) rend lake golf course. I think its lessons for the rest of the summer, they cost about the same.

Yeah I was really rooting for ol Monty or Paddy (since he plays for Wilson) and I really wanted to see Tiger win to shut the media up
-
oh no doubt he could never play again and he would be fine but as far as that competitive edge he has what would serve him best. And do you think this new FedEx cup will make him play more. I like watching him play but i wouldn't quit watching golf if he didn't play. But in all honesty he is like the Michel Jordan of golf. A ton of people quit watching basketball when Jordan quit, what will his lack of competitiveness do to the performance of the PGA on T.V. He has inspired so many new players that I think the game would suffer if he walked away, wich we all know he won't. As far as his performance in the open he wasn't playing all that bad, I thought.

some club makers recommend that you don't "soak" your clubs in soapy water for a long time. I use Mothers Mag and aluminum polish to get the ball marks of my woods and just soap and water to clean the groves on irons and wedges
-
do you think this is a marketing ploy to get more people watching or more top name player playing more events

Would he benifit more by playing every tourney he can or would he do better practicing at home. Whats your opion

Hey y'all went to southern Indiana to Holiday World on Monday and had a great time. Tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids was under 120. Any way we let Grandma and Papa take the kids home and me and momma had stayed an extra day at Evansville and played golf at Cambridge Golf Course. We stayed at the el cheapo Motel 6 and they gave us great local tips. Like CiCi's Pizza an all you can eat for 3.99. Yeah dinner and a movie (Cars is great) and golf the next day. Oh cant forget the trip to Victoria's secret for new panties for my wife The next day we went golfing and took a few pics. Lovely golf course, it was like an links style course with a ton of bunkers. The Fairways wer big and fast but the greens wernt real fast just average. Very nice course and community overall. The only problem was it took almost four hours to play on a Tuesday morning. And nobody let us play through. Anyway here are the pics and never mind the 6s and 7 on the front nine

a record tying low score for me on a course i never been to (49+41=90) The round started of like crap because i didn't have time to do a pre round warm up. The back nine was great with one birdie and one double boogie and the rest wer pars and boogies. Needed a par at the last for a new low of 89 and didn't hit the put firm enough. The pitch from 30 yards was perfect landed on target rolled right to the pin and bounced off to 8 feet. Then a miss put for a 90. SON OF A B#^@H. My head still hurts where i smacked it with the putter for not making a firmer put. Had the right line just peaked at the hole when it hooked by. Of course the two double boogies at 1 and 2 didn't help. But never the less a record tying low score at a course i never even laid eyes on................i'm stoked i can't wait till next round here at home. Oh almost forgot about the 30 footer for the lone birdie on the round. what a bomb that was.

yeah youre game might improve but you wont have the money to buy balls with
-
typically you have already hit the ball out of the bunker before you go for the rake. I would think since the ball was played then if your club goes in the sand it wouldn't be a penalty
-
5 over par wins it for the Aussie. I was close

Alright guys and gals lets here you're prediction for low 4 round total score for the U.S. open. After seeing the first round I'm saying a modest + 6. So lets see what ya think.

went out yesterday and broke the bad luck Except for a couple of chunked pitches and and one pitching wedge that rode the wind 170 YRDS everything was great. Went par, birdie, dbl boogie, dbl boogie, birdie, par, par (almost holed out from the bunker for birdie) dbl boogie, par (short par four green high left side) hit both par 5 in reg. almost had one under gir (with in inches). Hit one of the best 5 irons i ever and hit two 5 woods that wer close to perfect. Ended up shooting 44. Damn thats like an 88 which would beat my lowest score by two. I think i found the secret to my good fortune. i got a new hair cut so i didn't wear my ol sweaty golf hat. Call it superstitious but i will not be wearing a hat next time
