  1. Got them in!! Look great in my bag!! Before After
  2. as far as I know you can't change the lie angle of the stage 2 hybrid only the loft... each tick on the tip represents .5 degrees.
  3. I experianced something similar with my Studio Select Fastback 1.5 when I first started using it a few weeks ago. Over 10" and I'd leave it short... I wasn't used to how soft it was compared to my Red X2... ended up hitting the putting green after a round and just altered how hard I hit it... my X2 if I hit it firm that ball would go way over.. the same "firmness" on the fastback and it would make it just past the hole if I missed. No this is comparing the SS Fastback to yours which I know there are differences but I think anytime you switch putters you will have to adjust your putting somewhat.
  4. PM'd both of you the details.. To follow up on some comments... My bag is sorted by club so there's no way I'd mistake which club I was using. Also that's the whole purpose of the lines on the heads of the covers. I did it more as a theft deterrent and to clean up my bag. I had 4 different head covers so this unifies it... plus as others have mentioned the stock covers are basically just advertising. I also use a subtle SC cover for my putter... not your typical one that screams SC.
  5. Ended up placing an order with Ju Ju... couldn't be happier!
  6. I have used Superstroke but keep going back to the Tiger Shark Jumbo... It's made by the same company but isn't as rounded. It is shaped more like a traditional putter grip. What I have found with all of them is that my putting stroke has become a lot better. As many others will say it seems to take hand movement out of play. I think it really depends on the putter though... some seem to lose feeling others don't.
  7. I have actually been going back and forth between which I like more... I golfed on sunday with a guy who had a hand held sky caddie. I was using GolfLogix on my iPhone 5 for the round and our readings were identical. Only benefit he had was the screen being very easy to read and it did update to your current location quicker.
  8. I like the look of the Wool ones I think I'm going to order a set.. I'm going to be using my current set for likely 2-3 more years and I noticed today on the course that having the flashy headcovers seem to warrant a lot of oogly eyes.. would rather invest in a set of Wool vs having a club stolen.
  9. Looking for some input... As I have pieced together my set I noticed that my bag seems to be getting cluttered with different headcovers. I have looked at a few options like sticking with the OEM headcovers or going with something like iliac or Jan Craig... Is it really worth it to drop the $$ on head covers?
  10. Hey guys, Our courses just started opening up after a really extended winter with lots of snow. Currently a lot of courses have standing water on them where there is markings around these areas other then signs saying not to drive carts through (no brainer). My question is.. what happens if your ball lands in one of these areas?
  11. Pretty pumped for my first outdoor game of the season (long winters = a lot of simulation time)... Details are in my sig.. all clubs are freshly wrapped with NDMC's, putter has a Tiger Shark Jumbo grip on it. Without covers..
  12. I have used Foresight and AboutGolf.. If you have the room the AboutGolf is the way to go 100%.... I don't care for the way the Foresight captures the ball flight. Have played about 16 rounds on a AboutGolf Sim (long long winters here) and wouldn't trade it for anything.
  13. have you guys tried the Top Flite V2 Gamer?? cheaper then the B5... Haven't played the B5 but I don't mind the spin on the V2 for $10 a dozen.
  14. Hate it when it happens!! Especially with a pushy marshall nearby. Worst i've had was a really wet course last year.. one hole there was 2-3 inches of wall on a good 100 yard stretch of fairway... managed to hit in somewhere in the middle.. ended up with wet socks/shoes and no ball!!
  15. I actually just replaced my iron set with the machspeed's late in the season last year. I'm really enjoying them.. only recently started introducing additional wedges. I used to only carry the PW and a 58 then brought in the 56 as it was a free club and hits out of the sand very very nicely. My distances in my wedges are: 9I - 134 avg PW - 123 avg 54 - 112 avg 56 - I only ever use out of heavy rough or sand, never in a full swing so my avg is below 50. 58 - 75 avg but again rarely rarely a full hit. on the range I can hit it around 90 with a full swing. I have noticed ever since the addition of my 54 I find myself hitting the 54 or my 9 more then my PW. Might drop to the 3 wedges. Thanks for all of the input!!
  16. I am currently in the process of calculating my HDCP I would estimate it at a 15-20 right now. My distances based on GolfLogix GPS (iPhone) D - 250 avg 2H - 232 avg 3H TM - 219 avg 3H Nike - 204 avg (I have been able to hit this at varying distances, can comfortably control it as low as 180 by 4H - 193 avg (3/4 swing will get me to the 160-180 range depending on how hard I swing) I have however hit this as long as 201. 5I - 170 avg 6I - 157 avg I can definitely hit my 4H better then my 5I but eliminating the 5I gives me a large distance gap. My strong part is my short game within 130 yards. My historically weak part is my long game.. 175+ out. I have been working hard on this and through the introduction of the hybrids and a new driver/some coaching I have been able to straighten this out. I plan on taking a couple lessons this month as well. I have been focusing on straightening out my shot and adding length off the tee consistently.
  17. I have to agree with this. Golfshot has a way nicer interface!
  18. Ended up picking up 6 dozen V2 Gamers off RBG based on reviews. Pretty happy! Awesome ball for the price. I used to play Nike Mojo's or Noodle's and these cannot even compare to the V2's!
  19. I'm looking for some opinions on what I am currently carrying in my bag. Driver - RBZ RocketBallz 10.5 Tour TP - Turned down to 9.5 2H - RBZ Stage 2 Tour 16.5 - Turned down to 15. 3H - RBZ RocketBallz Tour 18.5 - With ProjectX 6.0 shaft 3H - Nike SQ Machspeed 21 4H - Nike SQ Machspeed 23 6-PW - Nike SQ Machspeed Wedge - Cleveland CG16 52 degree Wedge - Ben Hogan Sure Out 56 degree Wedge - Cleveland CG16 58 degree Clubs owned but not in bag - 3W, 5W Callaway Razr X Black, 5 Iron Nike SQ Machspeed So I have a few options I would like your opinions on. 1. Do I swap the 2/3H RBZ's for my 3W/5W and learn how to hit them as well as my hybrids? Is it worth it? Is it "legal" to carry 4 hybrids? 2. My current setup omits my 5 Iron, to keep my bag at the regulated 14 clubs (also my bag only allows 14 clubs). This creates a distance gap as I can hit my 4H consistently in the 190 range, my 6iron is in the 170 range. My 5 iron is in the 180 range. 3. If I re-add my 5 iron I would need to eliminate a wedge. The PW would be the most likely club eliminated as it is 45 degrees vs my 9 iron which is 41 degrees. There's maybe a 5 yard difference between the two. 4. The fourth option is to stop trying to micro-manage my bag and leave it as is.
  20. I was torn between the superstrokes and Tiger Shark grips. I ended up going for the Tiger Shark Jumbo and I really like it! IMO try to find a proshop or golf store that has a few putters that are gripped with the grips you think you might like. I found that I wasn't a fan of hte superstrokes but loved the Tiger Shark.. it's the same manufacturer and they're made out of the same type of material.
  21. Out west in Edmonton.
  22. Hi everyone, I have been a long-time lurker but finally decided to sign up. I am getting pretty excited about the upcoming golf season (still snow on the ground unfortunately). Will hopefully get my first round of the season in next weekend after a long road trip. Been keeping the clubs swinging in some simulators though. I have been golfing for roughly 13 years now. Decided last year after playing for years using the same low-end equipment to do some upgrades. My current bag: Driver: RBZ RocketBallz TP Tour 10.5 degree tuned to 10 degrees. Rescue: RBZ Stage 2 Tour 2 hybrid Irons: Nike Machspeed 3H - PW Wedges: 54,58 Cleveland CG16's and a 56 Ben Hogan Sureout sand wedge. Putter: Scottie Cameron 2006 Red X2 35" Ball: Titliest DT Solo's Grips: Black/White Golf Pride NDMC's That's my typical bag. I also have Callaway Razr X Black 3w and 5w which I game from time to time, but prefer the consistency ,distance and utility I can get out of my 2H and 3H.
