Graphite shafts, worth $50 to outfit my irons?
jamesbei replied to gsu_paintballer's topic in Golf Talk
It all depends on what type of player you our, if you develop enough clubhead speed i would suggest sticking to the steel shafts as in the end they will help you with accuracy. However if you struggle with clubhead speed you could benefit from the lighter shaft. -
I played in our second Kent League Match today, ( our local inter-club league) its better ball. We turned up at the club, our team made up of handicaps 6,8,8,10,10,12, their junior organizer to be honest doesnt have a clue and says that it is full handicap difference, our junior organizer although we have always played it as 3/4 and foursomes is always off 3/4 doesnt know the rules and agrees. Out come their team, 4 -28 handicapers a 24 and a 22 all aged 10 - 14, not only do i have to babysitt a 10 year old around the course but i have to give him and his partner 19 shots each. When he goes and bogeys the first (S.I 1) with two shots, i par it and lose! i felt like going home, fortunatley the last few holes were of reasonable length and we managed to get a half out of the game. But surely it is not in the spirit of the game, to put a team of 28 - handicappers out in a league match, when you obviously have better players. I was mighty P****d off at the end of the 4 and a half hour round,(most spent looking for their balls)

Mizuno Mp-60,
-
yes but surely it is worth them making big endorsement deals, to boost sales figures, how many sasquatch's do you think have been sold cos of "him". its not like they dont have enough money
-
Mizuno - a major brand in golf, some of the best irons on sale(mp67/32), nice bettinardi putters, good drivers(mp-600,Mx-500/560), good fairway woods. Why do i only know of one tour player, that plays their clubs...Luke Donald am i missing loads of people or do they not have many well known/good staff players?
-
ok your opinion, but i have 60's my friend has 67's and my dad has AP2's, i cant really tell the difference between the 60-67's but (ball striking is the best part of my game) and i prefer the look of the mizunos to the titleists.
-
Try out the Mizunos, you will not get better feeling clubs, either the MP-60's or MP-67's which are "bladeier" but not much less forgiving.

a bit off topic but how do you find your karsten anser, as i want to purchase one shortly

the pro at my course recently did some research, through curiosity of how well a pro would fair shooting level par for every round of golf for an entire read. It is actually quite interesting... With every tournament excluding majors and world golf championship events, from the 2006 european tour season, Mr "Par-Pro" of the 39 tournaments, would make 26 cuts, with one top 10 and amass £449,838 in prize money, making him 47th on the order of merit and give him a world ranking of about 105. If that wasn't good enough, if mr pro had managed to get himself an invite into the majors and world golf championship events, those figures would reach £1,465,783 earned putting him 5th in order of merit and a world ranking of about 16, not to mention the US open trophy in the cabinet!!! ANY GOOD??????
-
Yes... the title is misleading! I seem to alway leave my clubs around the green, and at the moment through pay and play "pikies"(not all p&p; just the ones at my course) not handing them in it is costing me a fortune! Anyone else leave tend to leave their clubs anywhere other than in their bag?
-
This has always confussed me, you got The Master's, The US Open and the PGA in America and only the British Open. There are more than enough excellent course's in the UK for a second Major or even Europe. Considering St Andrew's is the home of Golf there should be more over here, This is not a rant, just my 2 cents Anybody have any idea's

Right first of all, i know youre going to slate me, but i am going to buy a belly putter, infact an Odyssey White hot XG #7 to be precise. After i have been using a borrowed one for a while and have decided to take the plunge. I am about 5"9 and was wondering what length i should be buying. THanks

in a bit of a muck-about round after school, playing a 190 yard par 3, took five wood, gripped down shaft aimed 50 yards left,(over O.B) opened up stance and cracked it, it flew straight over O.B and started to turn pitched on middle tier rolled up to bout 7ft on the top tier! now considering that to be my "normal" line
-
Yepish Can do it when i have to, usually good at links courses, good shot but when no wind wuold rather hit F'way wood
-
Won the Cross Country golf!!!!, a sort of warm up comp playing from wrong tees to greens, quite funny but not overly serious, 14 holes i shot 2 over!!! best round yet this year, swing is gradually getting back to where it was in september!

Long Putters - are they bad for our game's image?
jamesbei replied to Lefty731PM's topic in Tour Talk
i'm 16 and use a belly putter, cos im hopeless from 10 foot and worse from more, why would it ruin the image of the game, many people want to try my putter and if it works why wouldnt you use one? in the end who wouldnt want to knock 3 shots a round off their score? What i dont see is that apparently Belly putters are ruining the game, but a complete set of hybrids is "proper golf"! -
Mizuno... i would have sex with their irons

What are the wort sayings you've heard for when a playing partner hits a good/Bad shot Good- B-E-A-U-TIFUL - At Last ... (from a partner lol) - Golf Shot(seems a bit wierd - bingo - someone at my club always says it Bad - Good strike- most annoying imo, i hate people saying it to me - D'OH - assortment of swear words - "NAME" in a sort of TIger.. fashion made me laugh

Where can i get a brand new MX-900 3 iron
jamesbei replied to Island Par's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i Think you'll find if you ring up Mizuno, they will say any mizuno stockist can order an individual iron for you, as i did this when i lost my 9 iron. Just go to a shop and get them to place and order for you.
