I decided to buy new clubs this year and compared the AP2's to the MP59's and I love the 59's the feel was just way better in my opinion and for me. I have to assume the 64's have to be just as nice.
-
Went with the Mizuno's I was looking at. Went 50, 54 and 58. Thanks for the tips guys. Regarding the PW being "hotter" I think all my clubs go the appropriate distance for my swing speeds.
-
I hit my PW about 140yds and my 52* goes maybe 115yds so that is a large gap. So if I switch to a 50* can gain 10yds over the 52* now I have a much smaller gap.
-
So if I find some wedges that feel great and I like but the bounce is on the lower end what are your thoughts? Should I be ok or should I get the next best clubs that felt ok but have better bounce?
-
Thanks for thie input. I was looking at the new Mizuno MP-T4's(since I play Mizuno's Like uniformity) I havent hit them yet just read about them need to go in once I figure out what lofts I want. What is a good bounce and how can I tell what I should get? If I bought the 50, 54, and 58 the bounce's would be 06, 09, 10 respectivly. Thoughts?

My PW is currently 46* and then I have 2 cleveland wedges a 52* and 58*. I feel I have to big of a gap between the three clubs. I struggle with my distances under 120yds trying to get cute with 1/2 and 3/4 shots. I know I need to practice those more but anyways. I was thinking about replacing the 52 and 58 and going with a 50*, 54* and a 58* what are your thoughts on this? Any tips and suggestions here would be great. Thanks in advance.

I thought Thailand was in Southeast Asia?

So I took the swing pro out at lunch to try and groove my outside-Inside swing. I had some good swings but a few as you can see here were a little more outside then I wanted. I wanted to see what you guys thought I should work on besides that based on these numbers. I am not sure where the numbers should really be. Thanks,
-
My biggest issue is my outside in swing pulling some of my irons, and also when I am within 110yds on most holes at the course I play at my short game is struggling. But i was just asking a question in general more curiosity then going out to instantly work on it.
-
Comparing my 6 iron to the information above I avg about 100mph on club head speed and hit the ball around 190ish carry. With the increase in speed shouldnt the ball be going further than around 7yds then the above numbers? Could this be cause I hit the ball higher? if so whats a good way of getting that down?

John I am in sales and deal with customers all the time that ask me questions about the product go through the motions and "waste" my time by never moving forward with me. This is part of business while you don't make money on the time you spent with the customers that dont by from you, you make money on the ones that do and it all evens out. I think in this scenario there is a happy medium as I said before I dont think the instructor had to watch the videos but atleast reading the e-mail to know where the OP was in their game would show he cared and would give him the ability to give a good lesson and sell him self for future lessons. I feel by him offering this deal on groupon he wasted his own time by not landing the op for future lessons.
-
I have to disagree with you regarding this statement. While I don't necessarily think the instructor had to look at the videos atleast reading the e-mail description of what the OP is looking to accomplish and a bit of his background should have been expected. I mean how is reading that e-mail different then talking with someone before they get the lesson. It give the instructor and idea of where the client is so they can have a plan of attack going on. Regardless of the cost showing interest in your students shouldnt be out of the question.

Evolvr Online Instruction Before and After Pics
jrasch replied to mvmac's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
These before and afters are very encouraging. I just submitted my first video last night and look forward to pointers on what to do. I know some of my issues, i am just not sure 100% on how to fix them. -
I have to agree with the majority here. If I was the student and no show no called I would expect to get charged because that is disrespectful. If I got last minute tickets to a sporting event that I wanted to go to and called to cancel I would still expect to get charged because I decided to go to the event instead. On the other hand as mentioned if something came up at work or a family emergency came up I would notify my instructor and would not expect to get charged knowing I cant control these types of accurences. If I was the instructor and the student cancelled last minute on a regular basis regardless of the reason I would no long keep them as a student. I think you should use your best judgement, if you think this was something they couldnt control or that they will be back several times throw them a bone and dont charge them. If it is the 3rd or 4th time charge them and then decide from there if you want to keep them as a student.

Well just uploaded my first video's to evolvr I look forward to the feedback and thanks for the suggestions so far.

Ya I have been looking at using evolvr. Plan on submitting a video tonight once I get home. Took several over the weekend on sunday when working with the skypro
-
Can you explain a little further, not sure I understand what you mean.
-
So after playing around with the SkyPro I bought on sunday I think the major cause in this "pull" is my outside-Inside swing. No the tricky part is to fix it. Any tips?

Fairly new to the site and have browsed around looked at several threads and didnt really see much specific to this topic. If I missed on please do provide the link. A little about me - Playing golf since I was in highschool but once I graduated military, work etc came in the way a bit. The past few years I have played more but not as much as I wanted. This year I plan on getting back into golf on a regular basis ie every weekend and most nights during the week. Currently I am a 18hcp, I hit the ball very long for the average golfer. I know I have some work to do on my swing and recently bought the SkyPro that should land today and I am looking at using Evolvr as well for some lessons. While I think over all the biggest problem with my game is 100yds in I have noticed lately that I tend to pull my Iron shots. I am not sure if its because the ball is to forward in my stance or my aim. I do try and double check my aim and I dont think it is that. My 2 thoughts are the ball is to far forward in my stance or I am letting the club head get ahead and swinging too fast. My question is what is the ideal location for the ball when working with irons long and short, I read somewhere recently that it should be a little more forward in the stance and not to move it back as the club gets shorter. Is this correct? should I be ligning the ball up a little more forward like in line with my nipple? Thanks in advance for the tips and suggestions.
