  1. Excellent point, I'll have to check into that.
  2. Thank you for the tip, I will definitely give this a try!
  3. I'm just getting to the point where I can hit the ball straight a lot of the time. However, I seem to have trouble aiming. I almost always go left of my target (which is a good change because I used to always slice). Perhaps I'm still trying to mentally compensate for a slice? At any rate, I just can't tell where I'm aiming - someone said to lay a club in front of your feet and it will point to your target. Is that good advice? I've always thought the club face should point toward the target, but if I use the aforementioned method, it doesn't. Any tips?
  4. Prime golf weather is just around the corner, so you might consider clubs. However, I do love my TV - 56" Samsung DLP. Over the air HD is phenomenal! Don't have cable or satellite but my blu-ray player streams netflix. (Something else you might want to look into)
  5. 11 tonight with a high of 28 tomorrow, don't think there will be any golf soon
  6. ??? After reading 5 Lessons I am certain his "secret" was practice. Lots and lots of practice.
  7. I highly recommend Sony MDR-V6. You'll see them in use in studios a lot. Comfortable and sound great for under $100.
  8. 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4 door 4x4
  9. Just got done reading it myself. Fantastic descriptions. I wish it had more drills though. I know you are supposed to practice each "lesson" but there is a ton of stuff in each.
  10. Happens a lot. I tend to think a shot has gone farther than it really did, with my shots and others as well.
  11. $30-70. I bought a couple PGA Tour shirts at JC Penney's last summer and love how they stay cool and dry. They are 100% polyester. The only thing I don't like is how easily they snag. I don't care about brand...is there a cheap shirt similar to this or the Under Armor shirts?
  12. Glad to hear all of the good comments about Shawn. I have been watching his videos for a while now. Great teacher.
  13. Being invited to play with my good friend last year and hitting some good shots...the good ones just keep you coming back for more don't they? Like a moth to a flame.... One common theme I see in this thread is fathers...if you are lucky enough to still have yours around, play some golf with him. Never got that chance and it hurts.

    golf time

I love having the time to talk and have a good time. Constantly rushing to get to the next box is annoying and distracting.
  15. I'm a swinger. If I concentrate on hitting the ball, bad things happen. Swing through the ball and throw momentum towards the target is how I think about it. Of course I'm new to the game...
