Not the greatest video I know my wife caught me when I was not paying attention. I can see some cupping in the right hand and my arms are far from my body at address.
-
Excuse the attire I was at the store not thinking of getting filmed by my wife.

I've been Playing Golf for: played for 3 years then stopped for 15 years and back to it a few weeks ago My current handicap index or average score is: shoot 43 over 9 holes fairly consistently My typical ball flight is:slice with driver and 3 wood irons are laser straight to slight fall to the right The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is:slice with the driver and 3 wood Videos:

Ive started walking a 9 hole at my Parent's community. Did it yesterday with my father as a matter of fact. I used to work out twice a day and eat healthy I have battled a weight problem since I was in my early twenties I was always skinny then I gained weight. 5 years ago I decided enough was enough and I lost 60 lbs (about 27 kg) and got down to 187. This lasted about a year then I ruined it by eating an not so healthy diet and no exercise. We can do it we just have to put our mind to it. I do believe that the extra weight creates inconsistent golf but there heavy layers out there that are great. As a matter of fact I'm going to do it I'm going to lose weight again and I will let you know how I do. fersman4 you can do it too every 15 20 lbs makes a difference go for it I think you will love the results.

I have a stand bag that I bought not to long ago and I hate it. When I walk I use a cart and the tab at the bottom of the stand bag won't let it sit well on my cart. I have to put the bag on sideways and it just didn't work well for me so I bought this cart bag today which will serve my needs well.

It's the SPYKE. I picked it up at Dick's a couple of hours ago.

Driver Fix/Feel Personal Solution
VinnieL replied to anthony's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I go from hitting lasers dead straight to hitting a massive slice it's very annoying to say the least. I think my problem is I'm not shifting my weight to my left side all the time and maybe this is giving me a reverse pivot. -
sorry about the crappy pic. TM burner 2.0 irons 5-9 pw sw, Ping wedges 52 and 60 degree,Nickent 3w,Burner 2.0 rescue's 21.5 and 24. TM burner 2.0 driver 10.5, Ping putter, Cleveland Golf stand bag with cart bag coming soon.

I guess I'm ok just have to get used the distances you are right it's just a number and I do like how easy these irons are to hit now if I could get my driver and 3 wood under control lol
-
wow I couldn't believe the distances with say a pitching wedge I played with my Dad it was my first time in 15 years and had to hit one less club than I used to hit for any given distance so an old 9 iron shot was now an easy pitching wedge if I gave a pitching wedge a full swing it was still too long I had to back off a little for my pitching wedge to hit about the same as my old 9 iron shots.
-
wow! that pic is incredible what a change!
-
Then maybe I won't bother hitting other clubs and just get used to the new distances. I played Callaway big Bertha's in the 90's I think they were the 1995 model. Now I have Taylormade burner 2.0. Just seems such a huge change. I will say they are very forgiving clubs.
-
I started playing again after 15 years of not playing. I purchased a set of Taylormade burner 2.0 irons. I noticed almost immediately that these irons hit much much longer than I used to hit years ago. I'm not talking by a little but a LOT longer. Are all manufacturers making their irons with stronger loft's? This may sound weird but I'm not sure if I like hitting irons that are traveling 20 yards longer than I'm used to. Does that sound crazy on my part? I'm actually considering another iron set unless that's just how it is now. I'm currently considering Ping or titleist what do you all think about how I'm feeling?

The course I played is an executive course it's in a private community I can't find the course rating on it I can tell you it's not very long at all being an executive course it's all par 3's and 4's but the damn greens are quite small. Most on here would probably blow through this course no problem and shoot low scores but for me getting going after 15 years it's fun to play and challenging enough with small greens and homes all around. I've been to the range once and played the nine holes and felt pretty good about my first time out on a course I've never seen with clubs I've only hit once on the range.
-
Nice BugDude I wish I could do that lol

Well guys I am extremely happy today I played my first round in 15 years. I played a 9 hole executive and shot a 43. Needless to say after all this time I a very happy. Best of all I played a round with my dad who just started at age 70! Great day

Bought my wife a set of Lynx HXI irons and Hybrids with a Lynx 3 wood for her to try out the game. Still need a putter for her and thinking about the Driver not sure if she needs the driver yet but I may get it for her anyway. -
I had the hole in one back in 1997 I want to get back to shoot ing in the mid 80's and would like to break 80 if I have it in me to do it

Driver and Woods and Head Covers?
VinnieL replied to Gatsby1923's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Ive seen the iron covers at the store but rarely see anyone using them. Might not be a bad idea for forged irons as they tend to ding easier. I do think that would be a hassle every time you use an iron to remove or replace the cover. -
Anyone know of a good instructor in the FT. Lauderdale florida area they would recommend?
