Big fan of Matteo Manessero after that! the guy was so cool in the play offs (it also helps i had money on him) looking forward to seeing more from him

On the 7th hole the other day i took my PW and my Putter with me to the other side of the green to where my bag was. I chipped the ball up onto the green and left my PW on the edge of the green whilst i went to putt out and once i did instead of going back to get the PW i carried on to the next Tee i did not realize until i needed it on the 9th, luckily as i was on my way back making sure i was not in anybodys way a couple noticed me and as i was about to ask had they seen a club lying about the guy pulled it out of his bag and laughed as he handed it to me. I think it was my embarassed face that gave it away that it was my club. He said he was going to hand it in at the clubhouse but im not sure if he would have. I couldnt believe i left it!

I cant see it to be honest, for me if i was asked if i could win one thing in golf it would be the Masters. But who knows.

I got my first 2 weeks ago on a shortish par 4 nail the drive straight left with about 100 yards to the pin hit a shot and it caught the edge of the green and started rolling towards the hole then i easy putted in for my first birdie i was well chuffed (i say easy putt but it felt an extra 20 foot away than it was i was so nervous)

Not PGA as i am not from america but i will be going to the Welsh Open on the European tour later this year.

What happens if they are all much much better than you? must they wait? and what happens if when youre on the course you ditch them? when i play its usually quiet so i wont have this problem i just think its interesting

Being new to playing golf regular this is a bit of a worry for me, i made sure i put a lot of time onto the range before i went out but i never know what kind of round i will have so i avoid afternoons and weekends. i try to tee off about 3.pm on wednesday/thursdays that way most of the people are either in work or picking their kids up from school. I also try not to take ages looking for my golf balls and i havent had a problem yet. I had more problems off this one old guy at the range before telling me i should have lessons before swinging a club on my own because i wouldnt jump into the deep end if i couldnt swim, so i told him the driving range is my practice/shallow end unless he is willing to pay for my golf lessons (i could afford them but i wanted to teach myself) and he complained about me! i wasnt even doing badly on the range i wouldnt of minded if i was slicing every shot!

I've been thinking of signing up for a week or so and i saw this topic come up today so i thought i would take the plunge and ask what do you mean by it? now that sounded a little silly so i will explain a little bit more, people were saying they were getting paired with people who they dont like and it confused me because where i come from (wales) i have never come across this, are you being paired to play with someone when you just want a round to yourself or do you mean in a tourney or anything like that? And are you allowed to refuse if you just want to play on your own or will they not allow it? I have only just started playing properly so this could be a stupid question but the few times i have been to where i play i have never seen this happen, thanks in advance
