absolutely less annoyed, I had no idea what the conversation was about.... Maybe if he was talking business or to his kids or something I would have been less annoyed. I also turned and looked at him numerous times, but he would just look away and keep laughing... He wasn't only annoying me, but at least 3 other people.

LMAO, there's a difference between noise (which doesn't bother me) and loud phone conversation 2 feet behind me... I should have been bothered more though, picked all my balls and moved, that would have been the right move... I would have asked him to move I guess, but it never even came to my mind and he didn't speak English.

Just got back from the range, about 3 balls into my 75 this guy on my left gets a cell call goes directly behind me and starts talking... Not a big deal I think, he'll be done soon enough. 40 minutes later he still talking as I am finishing up my balls, not just talking... Talking loudly, laughing loud all in the middle of my backswing.. it got to the point I couldn't even keep my head clear because I was so pissed. I know it's only the range, but a 40 minute phone call about 2 feet behind me while I'm working on releasing the club and other things really got on my nerves... The worst part, he was speaking ****ing korean. It wasn't just the phone call, it was how loud he was and how he simply didn't care enough to walk 20 feet down the range to where know one was, but had to stand directly behind me. After hitting my last golf ball, I turned and gave him the thumbs up... "Thanks for the 40 minute phone call jackass". He just smiled. /rant

I play enough to know to call it table tennis instead of ping pong.. Awesome sport for hang eye coordination and footwork. Me and my best friend had insane rallies in our garage back in the day. I even went to a club in seattle were actual great players play (ran by the number 1 player in America)... I was undefeated in my town, but didnt' win a single game my first couple times there....

Usually my brother will be watching my daughter while I'm playing or my wife is at home w/ her... Vibrate works for me, but not having it is not an option... Emergency's happen.
-
I was also right on the verge.. Never had my swing speed measured, but it was around 90mph... I always hit stiff woods, and got a regular flex driver and absolutely hated it... Didn't like the feel or anything, so I would go w/ what feels better to you.

Well after about 2 hours at the range and going and playing a twilight 9, I am very dissatisfied. My old driver wasn't bad, I was just looking for more performance, I used to hit my 983k 9.5* about 260-280 w/ the occasional 290's if I hit a good draw... Today at the range I couldn't tell but on the course I for sure could. I hit probably 160 balls at the range, then played a twilight 9. I was hitting it about equal consistency as my old driver, but my best drive was 240... My average being around 220. I also pulled out my 3 wood and hit directly after my driver and I was usually about 2 to 5 yards shorter w/ my 3 wood. He talked me into it I'm taking back the driver tomorrow and going to be looking at either the R7 Superquad or CGB Max (differences if any?) or a Ping G10. This time I'm gonna go somewhere w/ a range and hit them side by side w/ my current driver... cause if it aint broke, don't fix it I guess. I know for sure I'm going to be sticking w/ a stiff shaft and probably 9.5* any more opinions on what I should be looking at? Edit: My new irons freaking rock, shot +1 (for 9 today) even though hitting the ball really short, funniest story ever though.. On number 9 par 5 I had about 210 to carry the water left on my second.. Pulled out my new 5 wood (stiff shaft I blast this club) hit it dead center to the green, had about a 10 footer for eagle.. The freaking superintentend comes along and MOVES THE HOLE to the back right which left me a 35+ footer for eagle.. I was so mad and the guys in the club house where laughing... I lag it up there about 2 feet away and tapped in for birdie.

This should be the right section... Yesterday I went out and bought a new driver, when getting my swing speed measured it was consistently between 86-92mph w/ a reg flex shaft. The fitter told me I should be using a reg flex event hough I'm on the brink between the two. Whenever I hit a stiff flex driver my swing speed would increase to 93-96mph. For me the stiff just felt better, and less whippy I guess.... Was the reg flex the right move... I haven't been out to play w/ the new driver yet, but after going to the range it didn't feel as long as my old one but a little better control.

Just got an sg5 today actually, haven't played a round w/ it yet.. But I did play w/ someone who had an sg3 and he loved it.
-
I just went today and hit the x20's/tour and tour burners and also the r7tps... Loved the tour burners and tps personally didn't like the feel of the x20's that much

I have a hell of a time consistantly drawing my driver... I can fade it pretty well and my great drives are either dead straight, or a slight draw/fade. I really try to concintrate on straight shots or power fades... I work on the draw at the range, but I can't call on it on demand.

First off I know there are thousands of threads on this, I just spent 2 hours searching and reading up on opinions. I've never had any clubs fitted for me, my current 735's were an ebay purchase, and to be honest if it wasn't for the large some of money I just came by I wouldn't be getting anything else. But since I'm treating myself to all new Irons, new woods and wedges I'd figured I'd ask some advice on what to hit. My best friend has the r7tp irons and he loves them, I haven't been able to hit them yet, but from what he has told me after hitting numerous irons they are his favorite.. That puts them at the top of my list of at least clubs to hit. The only thing my friend told me about the r7tp's is they aren't easy to hit, which coming from him (a former college golfer) is saying something. Other than those, I was looking for suggestions on irons to hit when I go to the store and start looking seriously into this big purchase. My normal ball flight is medium high, dead straight. My miss hits at least with my irons are either a pull left or a push right. I'm not a long player, I hit my 8 iron 140-150 depending on situation....I"m not really sure about my swing speed but I'm guessing it's somewhere around 95 or so. I'm looking for something that is forgiving on mis hits, but I can still work. I know I'm gonna benefit a ton from the fitting alone, but really need some others to put on my list. So far: Taylor Made r7tp Ping s58/59 Ping G10 Cleveland x20/tour

70 bucks, but this course is in eastern washington about 3 hours from me.. I'm going camping over there today.. should be fun. -
weekend 18 prime time $35, twilight (3pm) $25 weekday 18 $31, 9 $22 twilight (6pm) 17..... Pretty much the same at most the courses around me... I play saturday and sunday usually, and monday... and probably one other day a week... I play ALOT.... I need an annual membership
-
But I already paid for the 18, so might as well play em. The dude I was playing w/ was seriously pissed though.
-
Weekends I go as early as possible... I wake up for work at 4am, so 6am would be sleeping in.. During the week, I'll either catch a round after work around 3pm, or I'll go for twilight (6pm)... But on weekends, I'll tee off as early as 6am or earlier.
-
yeah, there were 4 groups of 4 doing some short of tournament ahead of us... It was so ridicolous.
-
about 3 weeks ago a saturday round took me, 6 hours 45 minutes... Thats right, ridicolous, the group ahead of us was insane.. Even called the clubhouse before the turn, but they didn't do anything about it...

check out number 17, remind you of anything... Apple tree seems very fitting, should be a good course, I'm pumped. http://www.appletreeresort.com/index.php?page_id=81

shot a 37 (+1) on the home course today, drove the ball straight, hit some pretty decent long iron shot and putted pretty well... I'm just waiting for my 1st under par round, I was 1 under for a little while then went bogey bogey... My play improves everytime out though, what more can you ask for.
-
34.28, 2.0 3 putts per round... 10 rounds recorded this year, only two though w/ my new putter... and my last round I only had 29 putts... My putting has improved drastically.

I broke my left tibia about 1" above my ankle in January ended up having surgery to insert some pins (at work not playing golf lol)... But I've always been a carrier (couldn't afford a cart anyways) and my leg has been really sore after playing golf.. two weeks ago 18 holes and I was basically done for the week, but last weekend I played 18 saturday and sunday and it felt good.. It's getting stronger. I have to watch where I'm walking though, because if I step on something uneven and roll it just a little bit, it hurts for a week.
-
I tee it pretty low, because for whatever reason I will sky the shit out of it if it's tee'd up higher. I usually have about 1/5th of the ball above my club face for the best contact.. I have trouble at the range finding a tee short enough for me... My usual drives are anywhere between 260-280 with occasional 300+ if I get good roll and have some tail wind and hit it perfect.. Few and FAR between though.

All in the sig, been using them for a while now... My newest club is my putter, which was a major improvement over the POS I was using. I think either later this year (if I can get the money) or next season I'm going to be getting all new equipment... I really want the R7Tp irons, not really sure on the driver yet, I'd have to hit some to decide. I also need new wedges badly, mine are worn out.. Maybe later this month... Tax rebate time I think.
